finish line spectators

So what are the chances that my husband, mom, dad, and brother will see me cross the finish line? My husband is expecting the worst and figures there will be so many people there that he won't even see me until we meet back up at our hotel room. Also, what are the crowds like at the parks the rest of the day? I guess I'm also kind of expecting the worst...I'm afraid there won't be anywhere for us to eat lunch

The chances of seeing you at the finish are pretty good. Especially if you have a phone or other way to tell them where you are. I have been spotted by people at the finish and I have found others without much problem.

Also, don't forget the family reunion tents that are set up past the finish line. You can meet up at the tent rather than the hotel room. The WISH team will meet up at the W tent after the races.

I used my cell phone to make contact along the way and give a "heads up I'm in the chute" too. It is crowded some, but your people should be able to see you. Once people cross the spectators tend to go to meet them leaving space for those coming along.

Do look for our WISH team at the W family reunion area. It is fun to meet up with our Internet family.

DH and kids were able to see me along the route last year at one point and still made it to see me cross the finish (1/2). We did keep in contact with cell phones too.

And everyone has signed up for the alerts right? I figure we're slow enough that Mom will get our 10 Mile alerts and have time to get where she needs to be LOL

Can't wait to see everyone at the tent!!! That is if there are anyone left when we finish LOL

Does anyone know if the World Gateway entrance to Epcot will be open during the full marathon? We will be staying at the Yacht Club and hope to walk into Epcot to see the marathon finish.
