I was going to ask this on the other thread but it's closed. No this is not about *cheating* the system..When I was there in August the MK had switched from the 2 finger scan to a 1 finger scan..Is this permanent and has it moved to all parks yet?

We were there last week and all parks had a one finger scan. Although most of the time the CM just waived us through without us scanning our finger.

Yes,I moticed this a lot too, especially at park opening.

Okay, my dh's ap renewal was due the last time we were down there....he was two finger scanned, and I on the other side my annual pass will be validated when we arrive in....oh my God....9 days!!!! Will they issue him a new pass....will he have a problem getting in? How time consuming will this be? And, on another note.....my dear sister is coming with us and she purchased 6 day, non-expire hopper passes for her dd, dd'shb, 2 dgs's, and her ds. If they do not use all of the days, I don't see why she should not be able to use these leftover days on their passes in the future....she laid out the money......

On my august trip we used some MYW tickets that were attached to a 2 finger scan..They just did a new scan with 1 finger and that was that..No new ticket...

From what I've heard the one finger scan is just a newer version of the scanner, and as they replace old finger scanners they'll go to these. I hear its much faster too.

We kept our old passes, it's not even an issue, just put your old pass in like before, and set one finger on the reader instead of two.

It is faster and was a lot easier. The eleven year old in our party often took at least two tries with the old way. This way was easier for him and faster for all of us.

The system records both a 1 finger scan and a 2 finger scan for each ticket, one at a time depending on what turnstile you are at. So you use whichever scanner is there at each park in any order without having to think about it.

The system could be upgraded further to record entire fingerprints without your knowing it, but that is another program.

LOL,I said that because of the other, closed thread.

The one finger scanner is at all of the parks now. Thank goodness! It is so much more quick and easy! With the two finger scanners we always had at least one in the group that had to redo the scan. Now we can all just pass on through! :thumbsup2
