Finding specific face characters....

Does anyone know how to go about finding a specific Belle? I know "there's only one Belle", but my DD had a very magical experience over several days during our last trip with her "Best Friend Belle", and she has the pictures by her bed so she KNOWS what "the real Belle" looks like.

We went during April 2003, and met Belle in France at Epcot, at the Norway breakfast, and again at Cindy's. She remembered my DD each time and talked with us at great length. She was wonderful. I've held off two years on going back to try to avoid this issue, but now we're going back March 26-April 1. I just couldn't wait any longer!

How long do face characters tend to stay in the job? Are there any cast members who would actually help figure out if she's still there? Or do they all stick to the "one Belle" line? To meet up with her again would be a long shot, I know, but I have to ask. I wrote a complimentary letter at the time, but never ever heard anything back.....

My daughter decided that Belle uses actresses who are as pretty and friendly as she is to help her when she can't be everywhere at once. And I've reminded her how many girls Belle meets, so I think she understands intellectually, but there will be a bit of disappointment for her if she doesn't find her friend.

I think that most characters stick to the "one Belle" type attitude. I don't know if there's a specific way to find an actual specific person. However a CM might know (and we do have a few that post here).

Unfortunately it is very possible that the actress playing Belle in 2003 is no longer doing it. Could have been a college student, etc.

You could write guest communications and tell them when you were last at the parks and saw Belle. Specific dates would be helpful. I am sure, if they can get the information for you, that they will.

I know it is difficult for the little ones when they associate only one person with a face character, as those castmembers tend to change characters, have careers and families or just move up in the company.

Please allow serveral weeks to months to hear back, as they get many many emails and letters a day. If you could get a copy of the picture of Belle and scan it in on your email correspondence, that may help identify that castmember and speed up the process.

Unfortunately, I think no matter where you call the CMs are going to tell you there's only one Belle. It's the first thing they're taught. lol

Ok, I am trying to write to Guest Communications to see if they can help. I included pictures and dates from our last trip. Thanks for the suggestion!

Meanwhile, there's a picture in the Photos section for the Norway Breakfast - I think Belle looks the same, but no idea when the picture was taken. So maybe there's hope, and maybe I will try for a PS for the breakfast there again......

We were at Disney the first week of Dec. Just at Epcot we saw 3 different Belles. One at the Norway breakfast, and 2 different ones on different days at the France pavilion. That's not even including the 4 different ones at the Magic Kingdom. One at MVMCP Belle show, one in the parade. Then at MK the next day, another one. Let's not forget the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM. I know, because my DD loves Belle, so she was on a quest to find her anywhere. She is 7 and never mentioned that it was different girls, but when we got home and got the pictures and lined them all up she realized they weren't the same person. She knows Belle can't be everywhere at once and needs helpers, just like Santa.
