Finding resort availability.

Is there an easier way to find when a Resort is available than looking week by week and endlessly adjusting days to see if you get a match? We're planning a trip with my sister and her husband, and perhaps my brother and his girlfriend. There will be 7 of us. I'm finding it impossible to figure out what is available when.

Any suggestions?

Nope check as often as you can - no telling when some one will cancel or a room will open and become available

What are you trying to get? Do you want a specific resort/room category? There are so many resorts, I've never had a problem finding something good for our dates. Maybe you're having a search issue? Have you tried calling? If you give me your dates, I'd be happy to check for you.

I don't have a specific thing in mind. Just wanted to see what is available and what the options are. I don't know how to tell if two rooms are available at the same resort or if it would be open if I shifted dates over a day or two. It's really just taking forever to figure out is all.

I would call to get those questions answered. Much easier than being frustrated. For changing the dates,
I don't understand the difficulty. Just change the dates in your search, & you'll see the availability for the new dates.

There really isn't an easier way than what you are doing. You can call, but the CM will be doing the same thing.

I do suggest calling, though, as the OP is frustrated and there might be a searching error she's making that's keeping her from seeing full availability. I've helped a few people on the boards with that problem.

OPs original post seemed to read they want a certain resort that's not currently available and wants to keep checking or be notified when and if there's any availability that becomes open. If that's not the case then just check online once Disneys system is back up and running

It's not that the actual process of changing the dates is difficult. It's just tedious and annoying because very little of what I'm searching for is coming up available. So I've done a million searches and I'd like to just focus on when they have openings as opposed to searching when there is no availability.

I will just have to call.

I don't the no im getting an error as much as when I am looking is unavailable. However, there is a note on the website that you can't book online right now, so perhaps that is why everything seems unavailable.

Some people make errors while searching that keep them from seeing everything that is available. If you give me one sample of something you're interested in, I'd be happy to check for you.

Sorry, I'm not sure why my post seemed worded that way. I was trying to be general about it precisely because I had no resort in mind. I just didn't want to keep looking at unavailable dates. I asked the question because searching myself is more convenient than calling.

Oh yes, I see that booking is down right now. I think they're doing a system upgrade today. Try tomorrow. And if you give me some dates I'll check tomorrow, too.

Thanks. That's really nice of you to offer. I'm not home right now but when I get back I'll give you an example.

If you put the dates of your trip in it should come up with a list of available resorts and then if you click on that particular resort room options will show as well. No need to call as you said :)

To be more clear, what I wanted to do was see when a hotel has availability and look to see how much it costs during those dates, rather than guessing when there is availability becausenmy travel dates are flexible.

Yup. I know how to use it. It's just that the dates I'm searching for have very limited availability. So I wanted to search during times with more availability. But I don't know when those times are. :)

You mean like Southwest's Flexible Dates feature? I don't believe Disney's - or any hotel's - website is programmed for that.

What are your dates?
