Finding paintbrushes @ AK & win a PF??

Can someone tell me what the deal is with this? I read a thread where "If you find one of the paintbrushes, you get a certificate for your family to fast pass either thunder railroad or splash mountain. You can use it anytime during the day". I found this in the best WDW secrets & I believe it's in AK but I have no idea. I'm leaving Friday so I would love to try this out.

Nope its at MK on Tom Sawyer Island. If you find the brushes they give you a head of the line pass to be used on either of the 2 rides.

GOOFYFREAK!! Where would those paintbrushes be? In a bush somewhere? Where exactly? I've never been there so precise directions would be most appreciated.

I believe they move them around. You have to be there early in the morning to find one though.

They must move them around, otherwise it wouldn't be a very fair find! I expect they have spots they use more than once though...and presumably they aren't too difficult to find. Do they tell you about it on the first raft rides over to the island? Or is it one of those "in the know" things?

Nope they dont tell you about them, but sometimes you can get them to give it up. I have found it in the cave once and back by the concession stand in the back once. But here is what you have to look at. Do you take the ferry over to the island or go straight on the ride first thing in the morning. Cause either way you have to do it first thing.

The paint brushes are hidden each morning and usually found during the first hour or two in the morning (island opens at 10 am). They aren't very hard to find but are scattered all over the island; so you really need to explore everywhere. The raft drivers usually tell the "story" about the paint brushes when they take guests over to the island in the morning, until they've all be found.
