I read on someones blog that they called Disney and asked them which area of transportation they had been assigned and Disney told them. (Problem is... don't remember whos blog that was. lol)

Is this a normal happening? Can you call them and ask them what you've been put down for within your roll? For instance I got attractions, but during my interview I was asked how I felt about a spiel ride. I'm curious if that is what I had been put down for.

I've been on these boards for a while now, and also remember reading somewhere that you won't find out about your exact job location until you arrive at check-in in Florida.

Yeah, odds are that you are NOT going to find out exactly where you're working until your processing and whatnot. You can contact your recruiter and tell them your preference, and they will make a note on your file and (allegedly) do what they can to make sure that you get your preference. They make sure to let you know though, that there is no guarantee you will get your preference.

It can also be changed at any time, so if you're told one thing, and then they change it, you could get disappointed, so it might be better to wait and find out.

Ive read somewhere that if you can talk to someone that works at Disney already. (I know there are a bunch on here) They sometimes see your name on the HUB, or on a schedule. So if someone is here willing to do some snooping for us....that would be wonderful!!

They can also get fired for doing that. So... not so wonderful.

Hahaha. If it wasn't against the rules, I totally would call people up and ask them- I hate surprises! And waiting. :rolleyes1 I'm not a very patient person!

I'm not very patient either, which is why I was asking about it. lol. But yeah, let's not get anyone or ourselves into trouble.

From what I understand, the actual locations aren't finalized until two weeks before check-in anyways, because labor needs change so frequently down here. So while you could theoretically have someone down here look up your location in advance, I wouldn't risk it, because to Disney, the person doing that for you is giving out private business information to someone who isn't an employee (yet).

I think we're all in agreement that we don't plan on contacting anyone down at Disney to find out.
