Has anyone ever come across old disney things they forgot they had? I was cleaning up a box of old tapes when I found an old disney theme park tape I had bought in 1991. I put it in the tape player and was hooked. It has such great songs on it, things I miss from EPCOT. They have the whole JIYI ride, Tomarrow child,Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit,Makin Memories,Fun to be free and Listen to the land. It is my new favorite tape (HA HA I haven't said that in a while). And my DD loves it too.

I also found at my DM house a WDW book she have when EPCOT had just opened, it was great to see what they wanted to build in the future. Then I found a DL book she had it was from 1967, the first time she went. Such great things.

Have you found anything you couldn't believe you found?:hyper:

I found that tape too! I drove my dad's car for a week while mine had some work done and it just has a tape player. I listened to it constantly! LOVE it.

My friend found the old tickets...the ones that are A, B, C, D and E-rides. It was neat to see what consituted what letter back in the day!

We cleaned out the attic after Mom passed away and we found a box filled with the "Disneyland" magazines from the 1960's and 70's.The same ones we read as kids. Seeing them again brought back forgotten memories. Mom must have figured they wud be worth something someday, because they were all in order and wrapped in plastic. Most of them look like new.

7thdwarf/dopey, That must have been amazing to come across the magazines. I bet they are worth money, but I'm sure the memories are more important. I

Yes the memories are great! We found the one Mom used to design my Dopey costume for a cub scout play back in the middle sixties. BTW, thats why I chose my name Dopey. I was the littlest one and didnt have any lines to say. But i still had a blast playing Dopey.

About a year ago my mother moved from her home of over 35 years. While going through everything, I found several Disney items from my childhood in the 50s and 60s.:D Quite a treat.:earsboy:

My find was some old home movies my dad sent me of when he and his sisters were children up to the time they brought me home from the hospital after I was born in1964. I was watching it with my dd 4 and what was in there was footage of 1950's Dinsneyland!!!! My grandparents had won a trip from the railroad where grandpa worked. I probably will never return the tape to my dad until he asks. My grandpa and Walt were born on the same exact day. It is such a treasure vintage DL footage plus my beloved grandparents that have been gone for so long. I also have pictures of DL 1963 plus the tickets and some magazines from then. From the trips I've taken I think I saved every shred of everything since 1986 it's fun to go back and check out the ticket prices!

I am looking at ID cards for the Contemporary Resort, room 4831, that expire 02-01-73 right now! Mom and dad never removed them from their holder, so they are perfect. They are in an envelope with post cards from Gatorland and Weeki Wachee which we also visited during that vacation.

Found a large oval glitter sticker for Main Street Electrical Parade from my trip in 1982. Was really excited when I found it. Had a Mickey Mouse Club sleeping bag when I was a kid and would give anything to have it now!

I have some of the old A, B etc tickets and postcards from our 1st family trip in 1974...or was it 1975? Need to look.....

Dh calls me a pack rat for a reason!!
We just moved & I found my old WDW map from when I went in the late 70's (don't have it handy but I want to say 1978) - soooo funny to look at. I also found some old maps from EPCOT when we went in the early 90's (wanna say 1991). I save everything. Now if I could just find my ears from my trip in the 70's. I used them MANY TIMES when I was Minnie Mouse as an adult & now they are gone. One too many drunken Halloween parties I guess! :hyper:

Another one who found old tickets! Before we moved, I was going through all our old Disney stuff and came across park hopper passes from the late 80's, 2 child's passes with 1 day each left on them. What's funny was that my "child, now 5'9" 200 lbs. 21 yo, was able to use them without a blink of an eye by a CM at Epcot and MGM-yes, they had been his passes. I also found a receipt for lunch for 4, 2 adults and 2 children, from 1994 at Coral Reef. Even back then, lunch was expensive-$122!

Hi all,

I found a postcard with a disneykins in one end of it.
It must be from one of our trips to Disneyland in
either 1962 or 1968. It is kind of neat and unusual.

I did!

I found our IDs, MK park map, and parking pass from when we stay at the Contemporary in 1975!

I've seen pics of my dad and his sis at DL in 55. :) My mom went to gradnight at DL in '65, and she still has the program that they handed out- complete with a letter from Walt himself! (preprinted, I mean, not handwritten-lol.)

I still have a few used tickets and an MGM brochure from my first WDW visit in 94. I think I have some DL tickets floating around too. I know I have a DL map from 95.

My friend Dianna has some great stuff that she found at her dad's place- Old souvineer photo books and ticket booklets!

Oh I could just cry seeing those pictures from the 70's! So many memories!

I have some cool old stuff. A certificate I got at the Mousketeers Club at CR when I was five, it's got the Pooh characters that I had colored in and my name on it LOL.

I've got ancient passes of all kinds, anyone else remember when they had 'junior' passes instead of just kid and adult?! That was nice for my parents!

The most precious thing I have though is an old resort ID card with my grandfather's name and signature on it. Priceless.
