On Sunday (12th), I got to see a early preview (is that redundant?) to Finding Nemo--the new musical at AK. I admit I was skeptical (although I wan't too sad to see Tarzan go, but that's just me
).
It's great. I think it's the best stage show that I've ever seen in all of the Disney parks. It's funny, the songs are catchy and witty without being cloying, and the technical elements of the show are spectacular. Michael Curry is a genius (he's the puppet designer, although calling what he does "puppets" is like calling Walt Disney a cartoonist).
I choked up a couple of times (and I'm not a choking kind of guy...really...I'm very very macho).
The technique of being able to see the puppeteers is very effective, and not to give too much away, but there are a couple of moments when the actors separate from the puppets that really moved me.
Sooooo...go. Go see this show.
And, I got to meet Deb from Allears.net...how cool is that?

I know my 3 nieces will just love it, too!
