Finding Nemo Subs returning on July 25

Bummed this isn't opening in time for our first trip next week, one of my first WDW memories was the old 20k Leagues...

I rode the 20,000 leagues under the sea when I was 5 years old at WDW and my mind was blown. I am so excited to take my DS and DD, who are teens, on the submarine journey that blew me away. I loved the featurette that Imagineering did because it is nice to know the type of work and detail they did with the refurbishment.

I’ll say this about the subs: I don’t ride them very often, but when I do I always end up thinking “hey, that wasn’t bad like I expected, actually it was kind of fun.” And then of course I wait a long time to ever ride it again.

Also, it looks like they really did do a lot of work on the refurbishment. I’ve seen some comparison videos where it looks like they’ve actually added a lot more underwater scenery and color that was not there before.

I just hope they fixed the windows in the subs. Last time we rode in late 2019 the windows were cracked, foggy, and the overall picture quality was dramatically different between each window.

So , not to be indelicate, but it looks like a ride that would restrict certain people from riding due to size and physical ability.

They have an alternate, accessible version - very similar to how they handle Sleeping Beauty castle walk-thru, so that guests who are unable to walk down into the sub for whatever reason (physical situations, claustrophobia, etc) are able to experience similar things without the unique ride vehicle experience.

Meh. I guess it will eat some crowds.

I would definitely think so. After they changed it to Nemo, we kept not bothering with it because the lines were too long, and then finally rode it when we were there for a private after hours event and the line was still longer than most of the other rides which were walk-ons. It's because the ride itself is SO LONG and it's not like IASW where they have dozens upon dozens of boats.

Don't assume anything. Disney parks over-all are VERY size-friendly and I can speak from experience. Even at my heaviest weight, I could still ride this ride and everything else I wanted to.
