Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

Has anyone who has seen this ride also been on the EPCOT version? How do they compare? Which is better? TIA!

There is no Epcot version. Perhaps you're thinking of The Seas with Nemo and Friends. I think that's what it's called, but it's not a submarine ride. You ride in clammobiles, which are like the doombuggies in Haunted Mansion. Cute ride. Maybe the effects are similar to the DL subs. I don't know, but I'll find out New Years week!

I've been on the Nemo ride in Epcot a couple times and Nemo Subs once (15 minute wait at EE . . . agree with above, its OK-not worth much more of a wait). Yes, the Epcot ride is in clamshells-like doom buggies. You will ride by REAL aquariums (live fish, corals, etc), though not the whole time if I remember correctly. The really cool/cute part is that animated Nemo & Friends appear to be swimming in the (real) aquariums and following along with you as you ride. I've got young kids and they preferred Epcot Nemo. It is really cute-not exciting-but cute. My daughter (6) especially-the dark parts on the sub ride scared her.

Rode FNSV tonight. Got in line at 6:35p after deciding we couldn't see the parade well enough to try. Wait was 35 minutes. We thought "well, we won't see a better wait time than that, let's do it."

We missed out on about half of the dialog because of a screaming baby on board. Poor parents couldn't do anything to console the baby, so we all were stuck there suffering.

At night, the colors on the reef, etc. were not very noticeable, so I do think we missed out a little on the experience.

And the lady next to me had her son on her lap, and he couldn't stop kicking my knees!

Now that we know what it's all about, I don't think we'd do it again. Not enough bang for the buck.

I'm another one who didn't think it was all that great, but....my daughter loved it! So I guess it was worth the wait (35 min) for us. I remember riding the old subs when I was just a kid, and it was one of my favorite rides. I think most kids will really love it because it's a "submarine" and all.
