So last time we went to DL, last january it was not open yet we are going next week and it will be our first time going how good is it???

In the immortal word of Tony the Tiger,"It's GREAT" Have fun!!!:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed it, very cute. However it's probably only worth 30 minutes or so in line. Maybe 45 minutes at the very most!

IMHO it is not that good. Heck, they spent $150 million on it. That is 50% more than Expedition Everest at AK. And it is not even close to EE in entertainment. I would rank FNSV in entertainment value as follows:

Top tier at DL:
SM, Indy, Splash, HM, POTC, Matterhorn, BTMRR

Second Tier:
BLAB, Star Tours, IASW, Jungle Cruise, FNSV

We waited 20 minutes at park closing last week for this ride. I'll just say this, I'm glad I didn't wait longer than 20 minutes for it. :rolleyes1 Sure, it was cute, but nothing worth waiting in those huge lines for. Sorry Nemo!

We waited 30 minutes and I think if we had waited any longer, and especially if we had waited in any of the 90 minute to two hour long lines, I would have felt quite ripped off! It was cute, but not spectacular.

(My husband pointed out that he had never been real impressed with the old sub ride, either.)

We were there last week. The line was very long every time we tried. It seems everyone heads straight to Nemo at Early Entry. We finally decided it just was not worth the 60 minute wait. Gosh it is hard enough entertaining a 5 year old in a 10-15 minute queue.

What we ended up doing was going to the exit line and asking to watch it in the observation room. We had the room to ourselves and I told my guilible 5 year old that we were actually on a private submarine and were under the water. She believed it. We enjoyed it and were glad we were able to experience it without the long wait.

We rushed to the this ride at EE opening on a Tuesday in October. I was glad we didn't have to wait for it. It's only okay. I wouldn't ride it again unless the wait was less than 10 minutes.

Next time I'd rather use the EE to take advantage of Fantasyland!!!

You don't know what a relief these answers are for me! In 5 days we never made it on Nemo. Every time we stopped by to ride, even on EE, it was a minimum 40+ minute wait. Next trip, I guess.........;)

I pretty much agree with hydroguy.

My take on it is this:

-Ride ONLY if you can ride when it's sunny out. (We rode at night and the colors were all washed out looking...not enough floodlights to really bring out the coral and everything. Everything looked BLAH).

-Ride ONLY if the line is less than 60 minutes. Try during the afternoon parade on a weekday.

-Go into it expecting something on par with the other Fantasyland dark rides. Don't go in expecting anything that will blow your mind, cause you will probably be disappointed.

I'll agree with the others. We rode it just before closing one night and only had to wait about 10 minutes. I don't plan on riding it again unless the lines are really really short. The kids thought it was okay but they don't really care if they ride it again or not. The ride was cute but not great IMHO.

I would have to agree with Trey. I found the ride kinda lame. Money not wisely spent and definately not worth the 1hr 17 minute wait we had early one morning. Enjoyed the previous subs much better.

We honestly weren't impressed with this ride. It was cute and my 4 year old dd loved it because it was Nemo. But WAS NOT worth the 75 minute wait, that's for sure! We were there 5 days, went on it our first day and didn't think it was worth our time to go again.

Also not terribly impressed with this ride. We rode last night about 11pm and only waited about 15 minutes. It was cute, I guess, but would have been disappointed if we waited any longer than we did. We met some people who saw the ride from the observation room and said it was just as good as the ride. They said it was actually better because they were not crammed into the sub with all the others & they didnt have to wait in line. We saw where the observation room was, but didnt go in.

The ride has a lot of things from the Nemo movie thrown in, so its cute, but not something I'd wait in a long line for.

Subs were definitely claustrophobic feeling, warm in there, stuffy. I was glad when it was over actually. Kids liked it, but they said they didnt want to go on it again. Maybe because we went at night? Not sure. We're going to try the observation room tomorrow and see if that is any better.

Where is the observation room? It is usually very crowded?

Are the lines for this ride generally still pretty long?

Our friends were in the park line before opening at 7:30am, park opening was at 8am. With two little ones and knowing we would be out all day, we didn't rush to get there with them. Our friends were the second ones in line and got on the first sub of the morning, so they had no wait. We literally walked through the park gates 15 minutes after them and headed towards Nemo to meet up with them. We knew the line would be long so we didn't bother to rush, it was an hour and 45 minute wait after 15 minutes of the park opening!!! Our friends said it was great, but not worth an hour wait. So we didn't see it this trip but we will in Feb 09.

Has anyone who has seen this ride also been on the EPCOT version? How do they compare? Which is better? TIA!
