Finding Nemo line?

Does Finding Nemo still have a ridiculously long line? We last went in fall of 07 when it had just opened. My two year old couldn't wait in line that long, so we didn't ride it. I was hoping it would be better this time around. (and she will be better about waiting now too!)

Any strategies recommended? Do it first thing when you go in the park? Is it better to go by the monorail at park opening or be waiting at the turnstile to get in?

Thanks!

when are you going? It goes over an hour very quickly on the weekend.
However, on many a random wed and thursday, we have boarded in under 30 minutes.

I'd try to get on it first thing on Monday (if you can be at park opening).

Either do it first thing, as your last ride or ask the CM at the head of the line where the viewing room is. The ride still has waits upwards of an hour most days.

We had success being able to walk on...NO LINE AT ALL!! It was right before closing at about 11:55pm. I was sure they wouldnt let us get on because it was so close to closing, but we did.

The following night we were going to do the same thing and again the line was non-existant...we skipped it though.

Not sure if you can manage hanging out in the parks till then, but its worth a shot. ;)

Park rule is if you are in line when the park closes, you will ride.

My Nemo recommendation has always been, if you can stay until the Park closes, hop in line for Nemo 5 minutes before closing. The line is almost always shorter (as Momofthree experienced). If there is a line, you are waiting in it while not missing anything (except Main Street shopping) since everything else is closed.

I've observed serveral people mentioning that at the end of MM, or an hour after MM or an hour after opening on a NON MM.....all to have 30 min. waits.

(imo, much better than wasting 45 min. of your MM on Nemo)

& of course 5 min. before closing. :)

we waited approx 20min. was a mm but we did a few rides prior--space and toystory there last week
vicky

We have little kids, so staying until closing is out for us. We will have to have a morning strategy.

I heard that the monorail lets out near the entrance to Nemo. Is it a time-saver to enter the parks that way to hop in line? Or is the line all the way to Fantasyland by the time we would arrive on the monorail?

Thanks for the tips.

Where do they post the wait time for this ride? We always walk by the crazy long lines but i've yet to spot the little sign with the est. time on it.

Good point, I think we will try this when we go in December. The park will probably close at 10 on Thursday so we won't have to stay too late for it.

I went last week and the average wait time was about 40 minutes. I also went two years ago when it first opened and the wait was 2hr+. Have fun! :)

We went last week on Tuesday and practically walked right on an hour after MM started. MM crowds were let in at 7am and we showed up at 8am and went straight to Nemo. BTW, this was one of those crazy crowded days with power outages, so a less crazy time of year should be just as good, if not better. The prevailing wisdom is that the MM crowd that goes straight for Nemo as their first ride has thinned by regular park opening, so non-MM folks usually encounter a very reasonable line. :)

In our experience the line was super long first thing on Magic Mornings. We tried the early morning strategy more than once and it was always packed! Riding the monorail is an interesting idea! We ended up getting on at the very end of the day, 5 min before closing, we waited approx 15 minutes.

The one and only time I rode nemo, I waited 45-50 minutes. I think I'm gonna try riding it right before close. I don't know why I never thought of that.

I personally don't think the Monorail to Nemo is a good strategy. In May we ran to Nemo at rope drop and had a 15 min wait, when we were getting up to the front the first set of Monorail passengers were just getting into the park, by that time the wait was a good 30-45min. In Aug we took the Monorail at rope drop and when we got off there was already a loong line for Nemo.
So, my vote is run to it first thing after rope drop.
