well i bought 200 points on sunday 2/8/10 and they offered 10.75% and 14.75 i think for higher option depending on credit and that was over 10 years with 10 % down and you had to do direct payment or it would be 1 % higher ......... also you could roll the yearly maintance fee into that direct debit each month but they would come out as 2 seperate transactions or just pay it the fee one time a year Hope that helps you

Simple and easy options.

Just a touch over 10% interest depending on if you get that preferred rate, or a few more percentage points for non-preferred. 10% down payment.

5 year or 10 year loan.

You can pay it down whenever you like; they even have a handy little link to pay extra on principal in any amount over $10.

Very simple.



Some will likely say that if you can't afford to just flat out pay it, dont' do it, as it is a "luxury". For us, we were taking vacations to disney anyway, and at the time didn't know how well we could do finding extra money, so financing made sense. Otherwise, saving AND traveling would have taken a million years, not traveling wouldn't have happened (DH and I are both born wanderers), and the money spent on mere hotel rooms would have been a huge waste. So the convenience tax of the 10% interest was worth it to us (even though we really don't feel that way about CCs etc). And we don't feel that travelling is a luxury.

Are there closing costs or fees in addition to the interest with a Disney loan?
We are already members, so are considering financing an add on. I know there are not closing costs for existing members, but I didn't know if that applied with financing.

No, there will not be any closing costs for a financed add-on. The minimum purchase for a financed add-on is 50 points though.
