It's finally happened everybody! I managed to get a preferred deluxe studio at BWV for F & W Festival!:worship: In all my years of going to Disney I've never stayed there. What a joy it will be to walk to Epcot and DHS and enjoy all the wonders that are right there.:cloud9: Ooooooo, I can't wait! I hate to wish my life away but COME ON OCTOBER. :goodvibes

You might consider requesting Village Green view. That will give you a partial BW view and put you close to the elevators. Have fun! Our family trip to BWV is Oct. 22 - 29 because we LOVE that time of year at WDW!

Thank you for that recommendation, Jean. I know BWV has long hallways and some units are far from the elevators. I will absolutely make the Village Green request.:thumbsup2

ooooooh, you're going to love it
as jean said.: definately request VG, but i would also add: try waitlisting for BW view. it's the same amount of points, so you have nothing to lose (but the view is OMG amazing!)
and don't think of trying to leave EPCOT with your drinks - they will stop you (and downing a grey goose slushie quickly gives brainfreeze :headache:).

do get up early to check out the BW & enjoy a bakery goodie, watch the performers in the eve (they go great with an ice cream cone, btw;)), eat at flying fish and/or BRG, walk to DHS (sooooo relaxing - i do it just for fun), hang out in the gazebo, read a book on the BW back balcony and/or the secluded area under it, check out community hall (and rent a free DVD), hit jellyrolls, walk over to fantasia gardens for a few rounds of mini-golf, watch a movie on the BC beach.....there are soooo many relaxing things to do at the BWVs :cloud9:
DH and i are doing our annual F&W trek oct 9-18 - we love that we have a relaxing stroll to our room, as the massive hordes of people push their way to the front of EPCOT :)
enjoy

Those are wonderful suggestions, Laurie, thank you! I LOVE that potato-crusted Red Snapper at FFC! :cloud9::worship::thumbsup2

We just returned from BWV and had a studio on the village green and I can highly recommend that area. :thumbsup2

And we loved eating at the ESPN Club. :woohoo:

We are returning to BWV for the F&W during the second week of October so we might see you there.... but this time,we got the standard view studio. :yay:

I'll try not to eat all the lamb sliders so there will be some when you get there!

The Village Green is DEFINITELY one of the "best kept secrets"!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Cee's gona be at the BW for the Food and Wine Festival!!!

I totally forgot to ask you the other day, when are you going to be there? DH and I will be there 10/09 - 10/14. Right now he's planning on coming. This would be his very first time at the F&W.

We will just miss you, Linda. Oct. 2-7, 2011. I hope there is food left for you to enjoy but no promises. I hope your DH gets to go this year....or do I? Will he cramp your style??;)

LOL..No; he won't cramp my style! We have a routine for WDW. We have brekfast then he goes his way and I usually go to the pool for a few hours. We regroup and then head out for the day! He loves to walk and I love to chill by the pool so this works out just fine.

We'll just miss eachother...Oh please leave us some food; for DH's sake. He's never been!! :rotfl:

Those are our exact dates so we'll see you there. :yay: We are hoping to use the pool this time. Last week was OK but a little chilly to swim.

Traditional October weather is wonderful. Mid to high 80's and definately pool weather. I've been there also when it was "unusually hot" and we had 98 degree weather. But either way; it was fun!!

I see you're up in Rochester. How are you liking this weather??? I'm going crazy with all the snow we've been getting. Now we're getting sleet and ice....lovely.

We had one of the rooms on VG last October and it was great. The view was fantastic, huge balcony and right by the elevators. I don't blame you for wishing it was October now. You'll have a great time.:goodvibes

Come to think of it I think I had a studio over looking the Village Green. Room 3054 jumps out at me.....it was awhile ago. I was there alone for a few days until my friends came so I didn't want the 1BR alone. Now...well that's a totally different story! :rotfl: I love my solo trips in my 1BR unit!! :thumbsup2

Not liking Winter at all, but I've got a few years left before we can spend winters in the south. :sad2: By then, I don't think the Orlando area will be far enough south and we might have to be near the Keys. :cloud9:

We're getting sleet/freezing rain right now. :sad1: I can't wait for the Spring.

DH thinks he may retire in 2 years. We've been looking at all our points trying to figure out how long we could stay in WDW using them!! :rotfl:

All this nasty weather is making it even harder to count down from 200+ days!

UGH! I say! :headache:

Hang in there, everybody and hunker down!
