Finally!

Some of you may recall I was scheduled for a knee replacement in January of '09 and that I had to put it off because of a couple of 90% blockages. Well, as of this past Monday I am sporting a brand new bionic knee. I cam home today and have at least several weeks of physical therapy ahead. By July I should be trotting around World Showcase free of pain. Yay!!

Yeah, so glad you finally got your new knee George and wish you a successful and speedy recovery . Seems to me you were about to get your knee done when they discovered a heart problem, right? Thank God for pre opt testing we all whine about ! Take good care, hope the heart stent situation is doing well too.

Hey George - way cool!

My sis needed one of her knees replaced, but needed the opposite hip replaced first. She's had them both done now and feels great. Her therapy after her knee was one of the only times I've seen her sweat. So be prepared! I think your July idea is probably right on - good luck!

My mother had one of her knees done in March and just got the ok from her doc on 100% weight bearing. She had a tough road though, as the arthritis in the joint twisted the bones in her leg.

So glad to hear you've gotten through that and are on the road to recovery!!! That is great news. Thank heaven for modern medicine and the miracles it can achieve. Gotta love the docs of the world.

That's great George! I had a total hip replacement in December- it wasn't easy, but I feel GREAT now!!

Congrats, George!! I am so happy for you--this has been a long time coming. I wish you many pain free walks around WDW!!!

My DD has had knee problems for several years now and they went in to both of them in the past month and fixed her problem. We're thrilled for her to soon be pain free (she's 16) . I wish she was looking forward to walking around Epcot but she's not a Disney girl. She's looking forward to possibly playing some soccer though!
