How do you "rent points?" Thanks for any info!

A member who has points they are not using "rents" them to you. Essentially it's a contract between you and them. You pay them for their points. They make the DVC reservation in your name using their points.

Interestingly enough, we were not going to purchase for the same reason Jack stated, but DVC is set up somewhat differently than your traditional timeshare so after two years of research we went for it. If it weren't for spending our air miles to go on a Disney cruise to Alaska, we would be going "home" to stay at Animal Kingdom Villas this Fall. I think that's what they call a "good problem."

I'm surprised disney allows them for safety reasons, or at least literal flip flops with no back strap at all. NO PROTECTION for toes during crowded times = asking for a toenail to get ripped off or toes broken.

QueenDoOver, I had a similar thing happen to me walking down Main Street, after fireworks ended ... lady in ECV STOPPED in the middle of the sidewalk, lady walking behind her diverted to directly in front of me, and I saw it all happen, and couldn't slow the stroller fast enough to avoid nudging the back of her heel (she was wearing flipflops). I apologized immediately and she chewed my head off for ? 5 sentences and 3 stores worth of walking. I was about ready to seriously go off. We exchange a few sentences when she really felt the need to YELL at me.

I am a flip flop wearer. I can't stand walking around in the heat with socks and shoes. My feet get too claustrophobic and sweaty and the shoes start to rub in the wrong way. It truly annoys me. I watch out for people though and don't walk in front of strollers

Oh and I am also from Western Washington. We are going to DL/DCA next week. I am hoping that we will get some summer then. Looks like I should still pack a sweatshirt and jeans though.

I have a again reset the photo's at smugmug, not sure what is wrong I can post else where.

We are back to refresh before Club 33 lunch, it is going to be another 11/10 day here, still 31 minutes from entrance to ride at TSM but got ,many,many rides this AM. Judging th crowds at entrance, SoC, GGR, and down to Screamin, much heavier than I expected but I you have FP's everything id doable. The folks at ST are suffering in the sun, up to 3 hours off and on for a wait time.

We did it last summer and had a blast! We held onto a fastpass for GRR and once we got to the cabana - put our stuff in the safe and duck into DCA for a GRR ride. Wonderful to get soaked when you have a swimsuit on (under a t-shirt or cover up, of course!!)
