Jack rented points for a DVC unit if I remember right. DVC units overlook the pool, Redwood Creek, or Paradise Pier section of DCA. You can request a certain view with DVC, but there is no guarantee.

The big question is, Jack, are you FINALLY going to break down and buy DVC?

After reading a Money Magazine article about two months ago about timeshares being one of the top 5 worst ways to spend your money I have decided no. I will rent for the time being.

Looks like the photos aren't working for me. Is it just my iPad or are they not working for others too?

I bet renting for the VGC is tough due to them being sold out and the only DL option (not counting using points at PP and DLH).

Too bad the weather isn't as hot as you like. I'm from the "green" side and we are headed to the lake this weekend since we are supposed to hit 79F on Fri and Sat! WooHoo it's finally summer in Seattle!

Thanks for the updates. It makes me wonder what star tours will be like in Oct. We will be staying at the GCH, but the FP promo ends in Sept.

I am checking the photo's, my kids can see them from their laptops so I will go ahead and re-load just in case. I would re-boot and see if things change.

Judy, I will keep an eye out for Pete and the gang. Saw a group of lime green people yesterday from a distance.

I love the early morning when the sun comes up, everything is so fresh.

I couldn't see the photos either. But when I right-clicked the broken image and selected "open in new tab" they worked just fine. Hope this works for the rest of you!

I think the pictures might be a security issue?? I posted some recently that didn't seem to load properly from the DIS so I moved them from Picassa to Photobucket. Haven't tried using Smugmug yet.

I am enjoying the updates, especially crowd reports, as we will be there next week. I was sorry to hear about your daughter's toenail - OUCH!
