Finally tried La Cava del Tequila and....

I was torn between the Magic Blue and the Blood Orange, but for the sake of "research" ;) I ordered the Magic Blue because I had never seen it before.

Oh my...had the Blood Orange, and I hate to disappoint you...IT WAS AWESOME!!! I REALLY hope they'll still have the Magic Blue by the time I make it back out to the world in 2012!!! Heck, I hope the tequila bar is still THERE by that time!!!

Are children allowed in there? Can you have them make the drink to go?

Yes and Yes, but it's a small place, and I don't think I'd want to hang out there with my kids. But I got all of mine to go, no problems at all. I also got water for kids to go, which looked really odd, walking out of the bar and handing glass of liquid to my kids LOL.

I don't remember seeing the magical blue one on the menu when we were there mid March. I loved the place. I was an irresponsible tequila drinker in my younger, pre kid years. So I wanted to try it responsibly and got the yummy flight. I am now reformed tequila is my friend again. DH and I each got our own and each loved them. We also got chips and salsa, the crab tostados and some beef roll things that were our favs.

They have apps now? We went when it first opened and they didn't have anything to eat yet. They said they were looking into it and looking into taking the TIW card too. Does anyone know if they are taking the TIW card yet? Now we're even more looking forward to our trip in a few weeks! I am so going to get that yummy blue margarita. Looks like I have to up my drink budget.:lmao:

Oh boy, I'd really be in trouble with 20% off Margaritas!

Anybody seen an online menu for this place? Didn't see it on allearsnet...

I don't think this is completely up to date but it helps.

I'll be venturing to this place on Saturday for my first time. I'm having a really hard time deciding what to order. It seems like the overall consensus has been that the Naranja Roja margarita does not disappoint so I'm leaning towards that one. However, some of those flights sound pretty tempting. :rolleyes1

If you order the margarita flight, are the margaritas in the standard shot glasses?

That menu is not up to date. Some of the specialties have been replaced with others. In February they had a prickly pear margarita. In April they now have the blue glow.

And they had removed all the Spanish names for the specialties from the menu and just written "blood orange," "classic," "lime and jalapeno," "avocado," "cucumber," etc.
