Finally took the plunge

We finally did it. After visiting nearly 20 times and staying on-site for roughly three quarters of those times, we decided to stop throwing away money in the resorts and buy into the DVC.

I know! We were lucky that they had something going on where since we bought during the little open house thing they let us bank the 2014 points and can use them right away. So we're using it to stay at Old Key West in June for Star Wars Weekend.

So I've been doing a lot of perusing these new forums that I suddenly feel like it's ok to read. lol Trying to learn all I can!

Took us eight years and ten trips to decide we were not going to get bored anytime soon. We've been members for three years now. Only drawback is the addonitis. Enjoy your first stay at OKW.

Congrats, we love our DVC, one of the best investments we ever made. Resorts and cruises sine 2006, many more to come. The embers cruise to Alaska in a short while, yippee.

After being members for 10 years now we are happy we bought into Dvc. we have had some great trips with the best accomadations. We stay mostly in 1 bedrooms at BLT, BW or BC. The kitchen saves so much money. But it's just so nice to be so close to the parks. I own at BW abd BLT so we do split stays. It really saves so much commuting time being close and allows us to relax more. But it's also nice to try the other disney resorts too for a change of pace.

Don't forget VB, HH and the other off site resorts. We just got back from VB. The resort is layed out so nice. We were near our car, the pool, the beach, the restaurant. The beach is a nice relaxing vacation. A nice add on to the hustle and bustle of the parks.

The best part is we can rent out our points for a nice profit if we don't use them or sell our points for a nice profit too. This is On top of saving so much money over the years on rooms and staying at the best locations. Before I bought DVC I was an all star girl.....we are happy we did this for our family.
