Taylor Walker Wallace Johnson entered this world on April 8, 2006, in Houston, Texas. A ninth generation Texan.
Her father and I were desperately trying to drive from Alabama to Houston in time for the birth but we didn't make it. I'm a little sad about that but otherwise I am ecstatic.
I don't have a website so I can't post a photo but if Travis downloads the photos I think I have a pal who might host one or two photos for me so that I can show you how perfect she is
(wink wink nudge nudge Marsha)
She is just a little peanut. 6lbs14oz and 19.5 inches long. They were supposed to be discharged from the hospital today but Taylor had an elevated bilirubin, so Lori has been discharged and Taylor is lying blindfolded beneath the bili lap. Hopefully she will be home by midnight.
She has plenty of hair and it appears to be strawberry blonde but it's hard to tell for sure beneath those hospital lights.
She is a very pretty newborn and I'm so thrilled to be a grandmother.
Wilgus flew to Houston yesterday and spent a lot of time holding her. She slept away in his arms but if someone else took her she would cry until he took her again. I asked him to let me hold her and he told me NO! Can you believe it????? That stinker.
I will be going to Alabama when he takes them home to their house, right now they will stay with her mother. Lori wants to ride in my Escalade with Taylor because she thinks it's a safer vehicle than the Jeep. I'm sure you know I jumped at the opportunity.
I think this baby is likely to be the most spoiled child in the universe. Between Lori's parents and Wilgus and me, Taylor will want for nothing.
I'm feeling very blessed right now. Share my joy.
