Finally- SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!

After 61 days without any sort of rain or snow, our longest time in history, KC finally got snow! It's beautiful. Here at home I only have about 4 inches but the streets are slick according to DH. So the school board called it- SNOW DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you, Sonya! My mom is no doubt NOT thrilled about it, she lives there and had to get to work, so hopefully the streets aren't too bad!

You know how it is here, we get a little snow and everybody freaks out.

We have 2-3 inches here in Columbia and I heard that KC finally got some snow. I thought of you when they mentioned it since I knew you were upset that KC had been missing out.

4 inches? That's nothing...Oswego, NY got 4 FEET of snow yesterday in only 4 HOURS. Needless to day, they are buried and have closed for the rest of the week.

Now, I live about 30 minutes south of there and we only got about 4 inches added on to the 3 feet that's currently on the ground. No problems though. Our road crews have the necessary equipment to move the white stuff.

My dd was so happy for a snow day this morning because she is leaving for Tx this afternoon and needed to finishing packing but now it's turned out not to be such a great thing because my dh and I have been mentioning that maybe they should wait to head out until after it quits snowing.
