I finally rode ToT and I loved it! :lovestruc

After 5 months of being terrified of ToT, I felt brave and got on. Yesterday evening DBF and I headed out to DL/DCA and he playfully hinted that we should get on. I had already been thinking about getting over my fear and I'm glad I did. :cool1:

Here's a cell phone pic:
My DBF and I are on the second row. I look horrible because I didn't know when the picture was going to be taken, DBF did so he's trying to tell me. haha:rotfl: The family in the front were visiting from Arizona, celebrating their DD 18th b-day.

Other Notes: I had been reading a lot about how people on here love the pumpkin muffin and pumpkin latte. Unfortunately, I have to say that I did not enjoy it. :scared: I love pumpkin pie but I guess the muffin didn't do it for me.

Woohoo! I’m happy you went on TOT! I love that ride!!! It’s so much fun. I still get scared, but I have so much fun on it! And I’ve been on it I’m sure 20+ times. I’m usually like you, grabbing on to my DBF and laughing!! Yay for being brave!!!!

If you liked TOT at DCA, you'll love the randomness of TOT at DHS (WDW). Always a different drop sequence. Don't know how many they have, but more dynamic a ride than the one in California.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it!!! My dad and I ride it over and over and over again when the line is low enough. I saw everyone needs to try ToT at least once!

I have to agree about the pumpkin muffin, I just don't really like it.

Woo Hoo! Good for you, for conquering your fears! :cool1:

DD13 swore she wouldn't go on it, too, but I finally told her that she would always wonder if she should have tried it... because she LOVED everything else we tried, including Screamin'. That swayed her, and she tried it, even though she was scared. But, like you, she loved it! Afterward, she said, "What, that was IT? That wasn't bad at all!" And the second time we went, she could appreciated the theming and the narration, and all the fun stuff leading up to the drops... which are really just a small part of the overall ride experience!

Well, Missy--I've done my ONE AND ONLY ToT trip and YOU were a witness!

I was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure when the drops were coming. I'm sure next time I'll get to enjoy it a bit, especially all the story line.:thumbsup2

Also, I forgot to mention, we got a glimpse of the 40 foot Christmas tree that will be up soon!:cool1: The CM working the tram to Mickey's parking lot pointed it out. It was off to the side as you're driving through. It was beautiful!

:confused3 I don't know what you are talking about.

I got to see it too!

Yea! Aren't you glad you did it? I LOVE ToT!! My friends and I rode the night we went to the Halloween party. We're in the 2nd row...I'm the Egyptian mummy. So much fun!!!

I'm glad you had fun!!!
I got 2 of my friends to face their fears of ToT too. One of them is still a little iffy about getting on even after she's gone on it, but I always convince her to go on. ;)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the ride, and you look adorable in that pic. :)

Cheryl - sorry, it doesn't count unless I witness it ... so get ready :p

Did anyone else's candy fall out of their bag during MTOTP on TOT?! DBF's did. Maybe he's just a dumb dumb who didn't wrap his bag up. :rotfl: :confused3

The candy went flying in the air! Okay, well it was up to his knees, not really flying, but it was still kind of flying.

I love TOT, everyone should ride it once! :yay:

Awww...I envisioned it flying everywhere. Darn. At least he still had his candy. :)

The poor girl in front of us, her candy was like flying. She was terrified to go on it anyways and she was with her friends (she wasn't really a girl, more a teen) and I think when her candy went flying it made her scared more. She had to tell the Bell Hop CM to hold on while she picked up her candy!

Have you ever done the penny trick?

put a penny in the palm of your hand and it'll float for a second or two when you drop & go up again.

Also, we hold our belts out a little when we buckle them so we can get some air time when we go down. It's fun

That's one of my favorite rides. My friend did the penny trick once and it landed in my hand. On the next drop it landed back in his hand. Too cool.

Very cool! We're going again this Sunday, I'll have to try this. :yay:
