Hi Everybody! So I haven't actually posted since we have been back. Our trip was Oct 1st thru 5th. Wed and Thursday in the parks weren't busy at all and we actually walked on several things those two days. Peter Pan had a 5 minute wait, Matterhorn had a 10 minute wait, and then awhile later we walked by and there was NO LINE, we walked on. We hit Nemo at 2:30 in the afternoon and had a 20 minute wait. We walked on Pirates twice. It was great! Friday and Saturday were another story! But we managed just fine.

We started off our first evening with Dinner at Goofy's, and LOVED it. Saw so many characters and they spent so much one on one time at our table.

I wanted to tell you all that this was our whole familys first trip ever. I was worried about what my DD3 and DD5 would like ride wise. Well, let me tell you they liked EVERYTHING. My DD3 is tall, and 40 in so she could go on most everything. Her favorite was the Matterhorn. She even liked Space Mountain. She wasn't afraid of the dark rides at all. She really shocked me!

One little story about Space Mountain that I must share. My DS5, I think was sitting forward a little forward in his seat, anyways, somehow at one point he was thrown back and hit his head very hard on the back. To the point that we were watching him for a concussion. He was saying how bad his head hurt, and just holding it, and it had a good knot on it. He was dazed and said he just didn't feel good and his tummy was a little upset, and of course we didn't know if that was from the ride itself (very well could have been) or the head bonk. So we sat down for a while and waited to see if he was ok and it took about an hour and he felt better. I just wanted to share our experience so those of you with kids are aware of what can happen and try not to have the same experience.

We went on the riverboat and we got to go to the top and my kids got to 'steer the wheel' and help out. My DS5 took his 'job' very seriously. It was fun!

We saw a ton of characters, mostly on Main Street. We saw, Goofy, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Cruella, Alice in Wonderland, I know i'm forgetting a few! Our last day was a Saturday and we were walking thru fantasy land and saw the Evil Queen (from Snow White???). She was walking through and wouldn't stop for anyone, stayed in character the whole time. she would sign autograph books while walking and wouldn't actually speak to anyone. But she did grab my DD3's hand and walked through fantasy land with her!

I had a Churro's for the first time and a tigger tail!

We did a photopass that we had no intention of doing and I really am glad we did.

Oh, My DS5, was chosen for the Jedi Training Academy, thanks to his sign he held up....of course that little tip came directly from this board! Bet you can't guess what he wants to be for Halloween now???!

All in all we had a MAGICAL time, even though our Friday night fireworks were cancelled:( But you know what, it didn't matter, we still had a wonderful time.

The most suprising thing of all is that my DH (his first trip as well) LOVED DLR as much as I did, and is insisting that we go back same time next year. So now I'm trying to decide if we should do the first week of October again next year like he wants or wait 1.5 years and do April for both of the kids' birthdays. Their bdays are April 13 and 15th. Any input for pros/cons of that time of year?

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you all what a wonderful time we had, and how helpful this board was to me. In fact, again, my dh would give me such a hard time for spending so much time reading on this board, but after our trip I think he has a better appreciation for my time spent here! For various things, he would say, you should post that idea on the disboard......and of course I had to tell him, "where do you think I got the idea in the first place?"

So I'm happy to say, that this isn't goodbye.......I will have another trip to plan for:yay:

I'm so happy you had a GREAT trip!!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun planning your next one
