I have had plantar fasciitis for 4 months, saw a podiatrist, did stretching exercises, rolled my foot on a frozen water bottle, got orthotics made for good walking shoes and was still not healed yet. Saw the podiatrist yesterday and he gave me a shot of cortisone. While it was unpleasant, it seemed to do the trick and today my foot feels normal, like it did 4 months ago. I know others have suggested different remedies and warned against the cortisone shot but wow it sure helped me!

I used to beg for that Cortisone shot. It felt great for a few days, but it was only temporary. That awful feeling came back. I now go to PTherapy and after about a year, It's almost completely gone. He said it would take awhile, but a year? Jeez! AND, for what it's worth, I attribute the P.F. to a Disney trip. And I still go.

I've had great success with plantar fascitis. Check out this website: www.activerelease.com. Most of my patients clear up within 5 treatments. To a previous poster, I agree that 1 year is too long. PM with questions.

Did they do ultrasound on your feet? I had the treatment 3 times and mine was gone (and new Mizuno running shoes which I now swear by). That shot was a life saver in the meantime though. I think people warn against the shot because some people get it, feel so great and start doing things that are making the condition worse because they feel better.

That shot is a doozie though - whew! Made me break out in a sweat!
