Sounds like you had a good time, I'm staying at CS for the first time on my upcoming trip so glad to hear a positive review. This will be my first time with the walls up at HS, we were there in March but they weren't up yet and I could wander around the backlot buildings so I'm not sure how I'll feel about not being able to see them. Like you I loved the old MGM studios, there weren't any more big attractions then there are now but the feel of the park was so neat. I'm not sure I agree on the food prices. I live in a small college town about 45 min from Atlanta and a meal for two at Red Lobster costs us over $100 and I certainly wouldn't say that is great food. There is a tiny hole in the wall African restaurant here, you order at the counter but they do bring your meal, my son and I spent over $50 there for lunch. Heck, even our little local taco stand joint which is totally fast food but not chain, costs over $20 for myself and my honey and that doesn't include anything to drink.
