Well - I had a very big scare the last few days. I was rushed to the ER and admitted because I lost feeling in both the my right arm and leg. Alls well that ends well and it ended up being something I never heard of - a complicated migraine! Of course they had to rule out a stroke, heart attack and MS so it was pretty scary.

The funny thing is that when I had the MRI and cat scan I needed something to get my mind off of it, especially the 50 minutes head MRI! So I kept going over ADR's for our June/July trip and going through the resort choices - good and bad points about GF, Poly, YC and BC.

Only other Dissers would understand this - even at the worse times Disney magic can get your mind back to the "happy place"!

Glad you're okay and had something to take your mind off things!

I also get migraines that involve numbness in some parts of my body, speech problems and a variety of symptoms, it can be very scary. I thought I was having a stroke the first time.

That is hilarious! (The ADR checklist part ;) )
Hope all is well and that you will be feeling your best very soon :flower3:

Glad it wasn't anything really serious. :)

December and January are very stressful times at my job. I go from part time to having to work 60+ hours a week. I have to plan a future trip during that time. I think about it whenever I am particularly stressed and it sooo helps. I know exactly what you mean.
I am also very glad everything turned out OK with you. :thumbsup2

Glad you are ok. I deal with vision loss before my migraines and it is not fun.:crazy2:

Glad you are ok and BTW i dream of WDW during everyday life to escape.pixiedust:

I feel sorry for others that don't have that magical experience they can escape to.:faint:

So glad to hear that it was nothing serious. Just to let you know that you are not the only one who goes thru their trip in their head. Last July I was having numbness and tingling in my right arm and shoulder. I had to have an MRI and did the same thing as you go thru our entire trip for August in my head to get thru it. I was also worried about our trip because there was talk I might not be able to fly. On my MRI they found a lesion on my neck so I had to have another MRI on the rest of my spine and my brain which was an hour long. They were trying to rule out MS. My symptons lasted a week or so and I had to see a neurologist. I was able to go to WDW-my happy place. It was a perfect time to get away however I still had to wait until October for the follow up MRI which showed the lesion was gone. Thank God.

Robyn that is terrible!!! How scary.:guilty: I am so glad it wasn't something worse.

Hang in there. It's good you had a sense of humor about the whole thing....and had your crazy Disney planning complex to keep you company in that MRI.

STAY HEALTHY!!! YOU LEAVE SOON!!!:cheer2:

*hugs*

Believe me - I kept saying "I can't be sick, I'm leaving for Disney in less than four weeks!".

I've had MRIs before but never of my brain - that freaked me out. I felt like I was in a Hannibal Lector mask. If I didn't have my insane Disney obsession to help me through it I think I would have pressed the panic button!

I am sooo thankful it was just some crazy migraine. I've already had the cancer experience and didn't want to go through anything like that ever again. My kids were soooo scared, even though we tried to make it sound better than they originally thought. DH was scared too. After one day of doing my routine at home he has a whole new appreciation for a SAHM!
