Happy days for DH and I who are planning our last minute trip to WDW. We have been 7 times each now (3 times together), but this is our very first complete onsite trip. We will be at Pop for 5-6 days. We stayed here for one day back in Sept (my only time staying onsite) and I have been spoiled. Although I appreciate the times my parents have given us their timeshare units in the past, I really can't wait to have a complete stay onsite. Ok, my point of all this sounds so silly! I don't know what to expect! I need to know it all. Tell me about the parking (we drive down!), the advantages to staying onsite, all the extras. I can't beleive that after visiting wdw over 5 times, I need advice! I love it though! :love: Thank you in advance for the advice! Pixe dust all around! :wizard:

:cool1: :cool1:
I love the convience...go to MK do 3-4 hours, have lunch go back to resort, do the pool(poss a nap) a few hrs, and go back to another park in the PM for dinner and fireworks...stay as late as poss.

Room wise we stayed in a Moderate...it was nice. Love the mickey touchs like soap, etc...but I love not having to worry about driving around. Every one seems friendly, and the landscaping and grand scale is great.

I hope you have a great time too. :wizard:

Good for you! We're staying at the ASMo for the first time in March, little over 2 weeks to go! The only other time I really stayed onsite is when I stayed with my friend and her family at Old Key West... I loved staying on disney property... have a great trip and happy planning:-)

It sounds cliche I guess, but I love staying onsite because you do leave the real world behind. When we drove to WDW, we left our car in the parking lot at the resort until we went home. Last time we flew, so we didn't have a car. You don't see the real world (stores, gas stations, etc) and it seems you're just in Disney, which I guess you are, but it's just different.....

Don't know if this made any sense, but it's how I feel about staying onsite.

Oh it makes perfect sense! I think everyone agrees, when I say that WDW trips are magical for a reason. DH and I are going to vegas for the first time this Sept. and we are more excited about this last minute trip to WDW than Vegas! (don't tell my folks that though ;) )
The magic happens because you are in a closed in world of intense joy! *shivers* I really can't wait!
Is it true that there is free parking when you stay onsite? What about the new extra hours at night- how late are those parks open until?

It's wonderful to stay on site!!

Make sure you get a Disney wake up call!! We love them!!

Up and attem!! ::MickeyMo

I'm bumping this to find out more info. MUST GET MORE INFO! I'm an information hound! :Pinkbounc :crazy:

I'm a first timer too! (Not like I can afford to stay onsite) But I'm doing it anyway!

Check out Deb's site for EMH hours wdwig.com.

There is this "feeling" that I get staying on site, hard to describe. There is something about the way everything looks, the sky, the trees. I get so excited the first time the bus pulls up to the stop. Having a mug to get refills, the Mickey wake up call, the cute soaps, the show with the top 10 attractions (with the annoying girl I can't stand!) The Disney bed time stories that help relax my kids at night. The staff of the hotels, the friendliness. If you are lucky enough to get towel animals from Mousekeeping. It all just makes it that "magic" that you hear about. We have stayed both on and off property and we all agree that it is only on site from now on.

I love staying onsite. It just helps make our Disney visit more relaxing. Coming and going all day as we please. And not have to worry about remembering where we parked. My first 2 visits were off-site. Since then I've always stayed at one of the resorts. It just makes it more magical for me.
