Thank you for sharing your pictures. I recently upgraded from my point-and-shoot to the T2i, and when I see stuff like this, it really inspires me to try and really learn how to use my camera.

You took some great photos. I especially like the one of Captain Jack.

What flash did you use? Did you/can you use it during show? How do you like the 18-200 lens? I'm thinking of getting the 18-135 but I'm afraid I'll miss shots during shows with it.

I bought the Canon 430EX 11. You can use it during the parade. I didn't use it during the electric light part but just when they were marching. I think I should have played with the settings more.

It has taken me so long to get some good creative shots with my camera. Still learning all the time.

I really like my 18-200 lens. I use it all the time! It has been great as an all around lens for me. It is heavy! Oh and I didn't use a flash during the actual shows. I don't think you are allowed. Plus for most of the shows the lighting was workable. Especially beauty and the beast.

Hmm. I wonder if the 18- 200 is a lot heavier than the 18-135..
