Cast: Me - 4th time to WDW in just over a year (gotta love those APs), master planner
Phil - Been to DL once over 20 years ago, 1st time to WDW
(Both early 40s)
Since this was our last morning, we slept until 8a then spent about an hour trying to fit everything into our duffels. Its a good thing I brought an extra bag for our souvenirs for the flight home. Called Bell Services to put our things in storage until our Mears pick-up at 3:30p. We needed some breakfast so off to the Food Court. After eating, caught to MK bus and then the monorail to do a little resort-hopping. First stop was the Poly, then onto the Grand Floridian. That place is really impressive and I loved the gingerbread house. Continued on the monorail to TTC where we caught a bus to WL. It was chilly today, but the wind off the water made it seem much colder. I wasnt thinking this morning and had put our warm clothes into storage so we ducked into the gift shop and bought some fuzzy warm sweatshirts. Caught the boat across to FW and had a nice lunch at Trails End Buffet. The onion soup toasted us on the inside, then had a nice variety of salad, fried chicken, mac & cheese and corn. Being too full for dessert, we wandered over to the petting zoo and the horse barn.
Soon we realized our vacation was ending and we had to get back to catch our flight home. We got a bus back to TTC and took the ferry across for our final goodbyes to MK. We retrieved our luggage and waited for Mears. It was tough watching all those busses going by for the various parks, but wed had a great week.
Mears was right on time and once loaded, we were off to MCO. We checked in at Delta skycap service and Phil was told the computer had pulled his name for an extra security check. After being wanded and his sneakers checked (you couldnt pay me to do that job!!!), we boarded. This flight was full, but Id booked the last row (only 2 seats in the row) which was nice. The trip was uneventful which was fine with me, especially after the long trip down. Made it home in record time and even managed to stop and see some friends before heading home!!
Thanks for reading my trip report Im not much of a writer but gave it a shot. I really loved going this time of year with the decorations and all, but I dont think Ill do Pop Warner week again. Too much cheering around the resorts and parks!! Now to get ready for my final trip with my Annual Pass!!!
