Finally had my surgery yesterday

Yesterday, I was finally able to have gallbladder surgery (removal of the gallbladder). I am so happy that it´s over and that I now hopefully won´t be having these horrendous gallbladder attacks anymore. I´m very sore and am not really moving around a lot but still healing well.

It has almost been a year since I had mine removed. I watched my diet for about a month afterwards and then I was able to eat normal food.

I had mine out about 6 months ago laproscopicly. I had 4 little cut marks on my belly that were glued closed.
I had some mild pain the first day but felt great the next. Believe me, any mild pain was hardly noticed after the gall bladder attack I had, Days of vomiting nothing and doubled over in pain.
It depends on which surgery you had as to recovery, were you cut or laproscopic?

I have 4 little cuts too, with approx. 4 stitches each. I´m still quite far from feeling great (but do have a pretty high pain tolerance) but hope I will feel better soon.

I can't believe the aches and pains that went away with my gallbladder..it's been 10 years and other than having a problem with cheese, I feel tons better. I had pains that I had no idea were part of my gallbladder problem, that I didn't even know I had until 3 days before I had it out.

I had my emergency surgery on Christmas!

The scars for me are so faint now, I can't really see them! And I am pain free!
