Linda-50's- Stepmother-along for the ride (arriving May 17, 2 am)
Sorry the last day has taken so long; I got busy, not that many people are reading and responding anyways
The last day... I want to stay forever. Do you think they would mind if I moved into one of the concierge levels of a deluxe, rent free, forever? That way I wouldnt have to worry about food or a place to stay. Today was MK, of course. I think I like MK that best, but just because it is the MK, I really like MGM, then AK, and then Epcot, not that I dislike any of the parks. I forgot to mention, we met some cool people on the bus last night and we had a blast talking to them, it turned out they were staying in out building and we saw them when going to catch the bus this morning so we talked to them again. I got something to drink and Linda got breakfast, I was going to Crystal Palace for breakfast later and she wasnt coming with me. A thought about the character meals for a second I really, really felt uncomfortable at 1900 Park Fare; I will never go there again, just to formal, I also had to struggle to get people to take pics for me when the characters came around. I had been to Chef Mickeys for breakfast before, so I was pretty sure I would like the dinner, and I was right, I also had people offering left and right to take my picture, without me having to ask at all. At Crystal Palace, I had to ask the first time, but after that they offered every single other time without me asking. I really liked the breakfast, didnt feel rushed or neglected ever in any of the meals except for at Crystal Palace with Tigger, Tigger walked right by me twice, going to all of the tables around me and with me clearly wanting a picture, but he just turned and waved and walked away both times, that made me mad, but I got a picture with Tigger another time, so I didnt make a big deal of it. We got to MK by 9 exactly and went directly to Fantasyland. One thing that I forgot to mention was that Linda seemed to have a problem with wandering off and wandering in front of pictures all the time, so I had to really watch out for her or all of the sudden she would be lost, or in the middle of someones picture. I did Dumbo, Linda didnt want to do it, she looked around while waiting for me, and then we did Peter Pan, IASW, Snow White, and the carrousel by 10, I was disappointed that Winnie the Pooh was closed. Then I went to Crystal Palace; Linda did the Tea Cups (they make me really sick) and went to Toontown fair, then she did some shopping. We met at Buzz at 11:15, Linda got like 7,150 or something, and I got the second highest level, dont remember the score, or the level, but every other time, I got the third highest. We then did Alien Encounter, you seem to get much more wet in the front row than in any of the other rows, at least where I was sitting. Then we did Country Bears, Linda ate, we did Pirates of the Caribbean and the Tiki Room, I had never seen this before and thought it was cute. Then we watched the 3 oclock parade and went to one last store, when Linda had been shopping earlier, she had just been looking and she decided to get this stuffed Eeyore that she had seen. I am glad that I brought an extra bag, and that you can have 3 checked bags with Air Tran, because I had 2 going down, and had bought so much that I had to have a 3rd going back. By this time it was 4 and we had to go back to ASMu to catch Mears back to the airport. We wandered back to the bus area, and arrived at ASMu at 4:30. We got one last Mickey Bar and a drink, and I got some pictures of the main building, got our luggage out of storage, and went to the airport. At the airport Linda and I both sent off the sensors, it was just the buckles on the side pockets of my shorts, and the buttons on Lindas pants. Lindas bags were also searched. While at the airport we got a tacky Orlando magnet for my Dad because we had to get someone a tacky Orlando souvenir, we ate, and waited for the plane. We got home, and it was a chilly 46 degrees, and this is mid May.
