Woo hoo!:cool1: I finally got the go-ahead from DH to plan our first-ever family trip to WDW! I am so excited! :cheer2: I was in Orlando for work about 15 years ago and I went to Magic Kingdom for an evening without really understanding how big Disney is! I've never been back, but can't wait to go! DH has never been there and has always felt it's a waste of money, but he's now decided we can go and he's actually getting excited about it as well. DD will be 10 and DS will be 6 when we go. I say they'll be the perfect ages! :) We'll be going February 1-6. Wish we could go longer, but I figure I better not push my luck. I'll have to wait until he falls in love with WDW and then plan our 2ND trip!! :yay:

Tried to get my ticker from ******************** to work, but I'm not sure it's going to. I'll have to work on that so I can see a visual countdown on here!

:thumbsup2 Congrats! Have fun planning - and if you need any help, you know the DIS is here for ya. ;) :disrocks:

To WDW are magical, have a wonderful time.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

So happy for you. I first talked my DH into WDW when our oldest son was 8 mos old. It was my first time to WDW ever, and now he knows I'm a complete addict and that we WILL be going close to once a year! He indulges my WDW addiction while *pretending* not to like it so much. Yeah, right...who doesn't love Disney?

Going back for our 5th time in Jan! Remember, the planning is half the fun. You will have a GREAT time! Going off-season is wonderful. I love the lower crowds. ENJOY!

It is our first trip as a family as well! Lots of convincing of DH also. Basically, rough year with DD health problems and we decided everyone can use the big treat!

We are going February 13th-20th, and DS will be turning 6 and DD turning 11.

I am already lobbying for trip #2, but DH keeps saying "we will see" or "I think once is enough". He will come around once we get there. :rolleyes1

Now that we have started planning, he is a little more interested. He really likes rides, and water parks.

I am excited though. I made my ADRs last week, my reservation at BBB, have my trip spreadsheet slowly filling up.

I will be excited to hear about your planning as we have kids with similar ages. :cheer2:

we know u will have a blast!- bring good good good walking shoes -and walk alot beforehand!!:flower3:

Thanks for all of the well wishes! I am just getting into the planning and it is fun, but also a lot of work. My husband insists that this will be our one and only time of going to WDW (he's not a fan of the cost), so I want it to be fun for everyone. We won't get to do much "extra" stuff in ways of spending (although we WILL bring home a few souvenirs) and we're only doing the quick dining plan - so no nice meals for us (maybe one) - but I think it will still be fun.

SRICE100 - We DO have kids very similar in age. Our DS will turn 6 two days before we head to Orlando. DD turns 10 in December. They are both THRILLED to be going!
