I am sure you all know the relief I am feeling. I have been looking for months but everything was over $300. We are going June 4 to June 14 had ressies at the Dolphin for a while now. Saturday night price had lowered a bit but I had to check with the rest of my families about some stuff, and the prices went back up on Sunday and went up even more on Monday (to over $400) thought we missed our chance. But today they went back down.

We are flying American from Tulsa got it for $191 per person for six people.

Now only have to worry about Airport transfers, buying admission passes and dinner plans. That is wonderful. I was afraid I would be stuck paying the high amount, but lucked out.

I just booked mine yesterday as well! We chose Delta Song out of Hartford, CT, 7/31/04 and 8/8/04 return. We paid about 294 per person, but they are both non-stop, and my husband said he would rather fork over the extra money rather than have a stop along the way. We are six people also.

And, Ive heard a lot of stories that tickets will only go up as the gas prices increase, so I was afraid to wait any longer!

Sounds like you got a good deal, though! I'll probably be sorry, and they will go down, but peace of mind knowing it's done is good enough for the moment. ::yes::

I'm still waiting to book our airfare for late August. Our local news did an airfare rate war segment last night. Apparently with the introduction of Ted and Independence, there is going to be a lot of dropping rates to fight for the competition, at least that's what the newscaster wanted us to believe!

So hold on to your money people, the best may be yet to come!

I booked airfare yesterday out of Chicago O'Hare and it was on Ted - for our December trip. It was $805 for my family of 5 and we did not have to settle for crappy flight times.

Blondie, I noticed you were in Viriginia. Do you fly out of Dulles? If so, you don't have to worry about competition with Ted. Since TED (United) is the ONLY non-stop carrier out of Dulles now. Unfortunately for me, Dulles is the only airport even close to us, so we now have no choices anymore but to be a the mercy of what United wants to charge, unless we want a connecting flight airlines, and then there are plenty. I'm hoping you are not located in my area, for your own sake. I think it stinks that SONG pulled out of the Wash. DC area after only 6 months. They never gave the company a chance.

BTW, you guys are getting such wonderful airfares and I'm so jealous, but enjoy! At least someone is saving money and glad it's fellow disers.

Hi OKSTATE99:wave:
I know I can relate to the relief you are feeling. Congratulations!
When we got a chance to buy our tickets for under $300 we took it, since the fares have been pricing at $400 and up here in Montana.
Reality is we are really going to WDW now! YIPPEE::yes::
Have a great time on your vacation:sunny: ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

CONGRATS! We're in OK too and still waiting on something to come up for less than $312 r/t for 5 travelers. My gut tells me the rates will drop somewhat as our trip gets closer, but the 'planner' in me is going crazy with our flight details still being a big unknown.

I booked Tuesday from PVD to MCO, non stop for 49.00 each way. Total 115.20 per person (including all taxes and fees). For me it was worth the extra half hour in the car. :)

Blondie, I noticed you were in Viriginia. Do you fly out of Dulles?

I can fly out of Dulles, BWI, Reagan Nat'l and my favorite, Richmond!

We got a non-stop flight from Richmond to Orlando last August for less than $124 per person on Delta Connections. It's a smaller jet, but who cares! I love the Richmond airport because it's so easy to get to (for us anyway) there's no fighting traffic to get in and out of the airport (like Dulles, BWI, etc.) and it's a small terminal, no walking miles and miles to get to your gate!

I'm holding out for a Richmond flight, but I'm not betting on it.

wow Blondie, how are you finding a good deal in Richmond? We've got to go to Newport News or Norfolk to get a decent deal.

I just keep checking on Delta.com, along with other airlines out of the other aiports.

I check daily, and often several times a day.

Last year I saw the rate in May and booked it immediately! I went back a day later to see if the rate had changed and it was $75 more!

Blondie--go to ted today and check for flights. Also there is a site on UAL website that you can register for a $25 voucher if you fly in or out of Dulles. (I did that this morning). I just checked my July fares and can fly on UAL/TED for $153 rt our of Dulles, Nonstop. I would have to leave a day early (friday) or leave on my original day and it's $197 rt. So will save $132 if we leave a day early (don't really want to, but could arrive a day early to get the same fare).

I booked our flight for August on Delta, this past Saturday flying out of BWI for DH, DD and myself. We paid $175.40 for each ticket including taxes $526.20 total for the three of us!

How did you find airfare out of Montana for less than $300?? We are going in Sept and I can't find a good price yet!! HELP HELP
