I have posted a few questions on this board and mentioned that my son was suspected to have cerebral palsy. Today we finally got word that he does has CP. This is what we were expecting, but it is still hard to process. It is a mild case and he is already under the care of an orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist.

I really don't think this diagnosis will change our world too much, but I just wanted to tell people.

God Bless You! Make sure you are connected with all of the support groups and the CP foundation. I am a home health nurse and have had a few families of babies w/ CP. The physical and occupational therapies are a big deal. I have seen one 6 year old who was non-verbal/ non-communicative learn signs and be able to express himself fairly well within a few months time.
Good luck on the road ahead!!:grouphug:

There is so much freedom in knowing. Now your doctors will know how to give the best care for your child. I'm happy taht you have learned what is going on and that you have already taken the steps to deal with it. I sent a little prayer up for your family. I hope that all gos well.:lovestruc
