We are finally going to WDW!!! :cool1:
Making our first trip in 2 1/2 weeks! Just wished I had found this board sooner, it looks amazing. Think It's going to take me the full 2 1/2 weeks just to read through a fraction of this stuff.
Going with our 3 sons - 12, 2nd turns 10 the day we arrive and 6 yr old. Staying at the Polynesian resort.
With such little time left before we leave any and all help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
What can we do special or do they do anything special for my son that's turning 10?
Thanks so much everyone!

Hi and welcome! :wave2:

You can do a forum search for "birthday" and see all the special birthday things they do. I know they will give him a special button and all the restaurants will give him a birthday cupcake; also you can order a birthday cake at just about every restaurant. There is a really cool cakes thread somewhere.

What do you already have planned?

You can call and have them put a note on your reservation that your son is celebrating his birthday and sometimes they will do something special. The last time we were there for my little boy's birthday they left balloons and cards signed by different characters in our room. You can also get him a birthday button at the customer service desk at any of the parks.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you is remember that you will be there during the Free Dining promo and the restaurants will be packed. Make sure you have your ADRs (advance dining reservations) in place before you go. Table service/sit-down meals (let alone character meals) will be completely booked up and hard to get into, if not impossible.

Hope ya'll have a magical vacation!
