Here are our choices with a few questions:

1.Sci fi - I know this is not everyone's favorite, but the kids want to go!
2.Biergaraten-there are 5 of us, how many people will be sharing a table with us?
3.1900 Park Fare - this was chosen after my dd's read your post about the stepsisters being so silly. Is Cindy and the Prince here too?
4.Ohana dinner - if fireworks an MK start at 9:00 and we want to watch them from the beach, what time should I make our ressie?
5.Whispering Canyon - this is a repeat, the dd's love it
6.Chef Mickey's - Any paticular time here better than others, we don't want breakfast?
7.Crystal Palace - We've done lunch here before but after reading your posts the dd's want to go before the park opens to see main street empty. I'm so glad they are so interested in planning our trip. :) My only concern is getting there on the buses and what time should I make our adr if the park opens at 9:00.

Thanks everyone for all of your advice in advance. I've got to get busy planning which days I want to do what also. Then I can sit back and relax till October:dance3:

The only one I can help with is Crystal Palace..make the earliest ADR available. (8 or shortly there after) You'll have no trouble getting there on Disney transportation..just make sure you leave early enough.

Hi, I can only really help with question 3 and 6. Prince and Cindy are both there, they were both lovely and will dance together in the center of the room when not at peoples tables!

We always go to Chef Mickeys for an early dinner, say 6pm ish.

Good luck with all your planning!

I can help you out with some of these.

1.Sci fi - I know this is not everyone's favorite, but the kids want to go!
Great atmosphere, good burgers and Articike dip. I'd try it!
3.1900 Park Fare - this was chosen after my dd's read your post about the stepsisters being so silly. Is Cindy and the Prince here too?
Yes they are. The bread pudding with Vanilla sauce is to die for!
5.Whispering Canyon - this is a repeat, the dd's love it
We do too!
6.Chef Mickey's - Any paticular time here better than others, we don't want breakfast?
We tried this restaurant last year for 7:10 and waited awile for a table. We're going earlier this year.

Enjoy your October trip! :disrocks:

I can help with the first two.

Sci Fi is a blast. We're two adults and love it. We just have to watch how often we go so the film clips seem "new" to us. I see you have two kids that can eat on their own. Put them in the front seat. Most of the time, the server will give the bill to the "driver". Love the reaction of kids when they are told they have to pay!

Biergarten. The tables are for eight so you would potentially have three others at the table. However, how much you interact with them is up to you and them. We've only had one dud of a couple and they left very quickly. Everyone else has been great to chat with. Or, if there is a family at the table, they do their thing and the rest of us do our thing.

BTW - if you order a beer at the Biergarten and can't finish it, they have "to go" cups for you.

Sci-fi - we loved this place. Atmosphere is probably one of the best in Disney and the food was decent.

Biergarten - Seats 8 to a table. Biergarten is a must-do for my family. Love it here

1900 Park Fare - Cindy and PC were here when we did the character dinner

Ohana - we've done 7:30 ADR and been finished in time to catch fireworks at on the beach

WCC - lots and lots of fun

Have only done CM breakfast and CP lunch so can't comment on those.

Have a great trip! :)

Thanks for all the replies, it was very helpful. I recommend this board to everyone planning a trip to disney. You all are great!

As far as the Chef Mickey's time....

When we went for dinner, we got the earliest seating they had available. We were celebrating DD's birthday. We made sure to tell the host that we were celebrating her birthday. She got to open CM for dinner. There was a lot of hoopla. She loved it!!!!!! And then we headed to MK for extra magic hours.

What is the earliest dinner time for Chef Mickey's? We are going to surprise the girls and do MNSSHP this year and it would be fun to eat there and then just walk over to the party. We don't get to surprise them much, so that would be neat.

That is exactly what we did. In fact, we changed into costumes after we ate. So we surprised DD with MNSSHP that way. I believe we ate at 4:30. The opening of Chef Mickey's was like a rope drop but with napkins. She got to sign a special book and of course, Mickey is the one that brought the book over for her to sign.

Cool, I think that will be a lot of fun. If we can't get Chef Mickey's for that night then at least we have several other choice close to the Kingdom. I think I'm going to plan for Ohana's our first night so they can go out on the beach to watch the fireworks. I want to try to come up with a few cool ideas for this trip. THanks guys!

Yeah! We got all the restaurants we wanted and the day and times we wanted! I was surprised how fast I got through since they started the free dining and they could call today. My CM was very helpful. Thanks again for all of your help! Now I can quit stressing till at least Sept. Ha! Ha!

Can anyone tell me anything about the Yak and Yeti Restauant? Is it good? Is it a Table Service res? Thanks for any help you can offer.:goodvibes
