I finally have fireworks magic!

just had to share...

I had scored 242 and was in 1st place, but didn't get the pin...scored 245 later and was in 2nd place...THEN I got the pin... is that weird?

Yeah, the whole "score 240,000 but not win" is an interesting criteria for the pin. I think it lessens the standard video game emphasis of "beating everyone else" because your reward depends on someone performing better than you do. It's more about the achievement and less about the win, if that makes sense. Very much in tune with VMK values.

Not weird at all- to win fireworks magic you have to have the 240k and not win the game. Which makes it harder to get at times. sometimes there is noone on that can hit 240 and beat you lol- other times I'll be playing with a mule and will have a great score (over 240k) and not even finish top 3 lol- there are some firework mages out there...

Congrats again-

and fyi- now that you got to magic you can win it again by playing and finishing first- I still don't have a definite count on it because I haven't played much since I started tracking better- but at around 20 or 25 first place wins- you will get the message "congratulations on finishing first place again- here is 150 points and the fireworks magic pin"

That's also good to know about getting it again! I was wondering why people who already had fireworks were still playing and totally dominating the game...

I knew about the over 240k but be in second place rule, which was why I was surprised when I was rewarded with a fireworks pin for finishing first "again". I have finished first several times but never topped 240k.

Do you think I got the pin because I already had a fireworks pin on me (from a trade)?

btw, I got another pin today! It was totally a surprise, because I certainly didn't play 20x...I won 3x in a row, if that means anything? Scored over 240k? Somebody please explain! LOL Anyway, I'm giving the pin to my cousin, but I was so surprised and excited! LOL

No, still no luck - another 236K night. Think I need to work on the Level 3 Stage 3 finale more.

I've have players accuse me of cheating in fireworks- so I asked- how does someone cheat in this game? I just don't see how it would work- and they just answer something like "I'm not going to tell you how to cheat" lol

Yeah I'm sure it is just some whiner that doesn't have the patience to keep trying... if I remember the name of one of them would finish like 6th place in most of the games...
