Finally! Drew Peterson has been arrested!

A friend of mine was in Chicago and saw him, but couldn't place him. She was sure she knew him from somewhere and asked him if they knew each other and he said he didn't think so, but she might have seen him on TV because he was a local "celebrity." Then he told her his name and proceeded to hit on her.

As he was hitting on her she was thinking, "Drew Peterson. Drew Peterson. I know I know that name. How do I know it? It isn't good, I don't think. OMG, he's the one who killed his wife! I just shook the hand of a murderer!" (Stunned by what she'd gotten herself into, she said she was married and walked away.)

He thinks he's a celebrity. And he's still hitting on women.

I saw his lawyer this morning on the Today Show... sleaze factor ACTIVATED.

All the typical defense crap "he doesn't have to prove he's innocent, the prosecution has to prove he's guilty" "they only have circumstantial evidence" "my client takes these charges seriously".... ALL the lines defense attorneys use to excuse their guilty as hell scumbag clients.

Well...lawyers have to defend their clients to the full extent of their ability. They are also limitted by what their clients tell them. If Drew tells his lawyer "hey, she said she was leaving me for another man and then just disappeared" the lawyer has to go with that, even though we all know it's a total crock of doggie poo.

This lawyer may in fact be a sleeze ball, but he isn't a sleeze ball just because he defends a sleezy client.

From what I heard this morning, they are with family.
Thomas and Kristopher (the children he had with Kathleen) are probably with Drew's older son Stephen (he's a police officer in Oak Brook, IL) since they have had very little contact at all with the Savio side of their family since Kathleen's death.

I would suspect that Anthony and Lacey are with one of Stacy's relatives.

They said on the news that he requested that all of the children be placed with his older son.

I just heard that as well. I thought for sure that Stacey's family would be fighting that.

Stephen has had his own issues while working as a police officer and was suspended without pay for a short time.

Do any of you remember last year when Kathleen Savio's cousin posted here on the Dis? They used to call her Kitty. It was so sad hearing a family member talk about her and her father. It was right after the autopsy was done.

A teacher I work with was in a local bar/restaurant when he came in. She said all the girls were around him like flies on honey! It totally grossed her out! YUCK!!

I'm so glad that he is in jail.

That completely puzzles me there is nothing appealing about him. Just looking at him makes me sick to my stomach. He is not a good looking man at all. His smirks and mannerism is so unattractive.

I suspected that something was going on because the volume of helicopters flying into Clow Airport was quite unusual, especially with storms in the area. It's been a long time coming but I hope that they have enough evidence to put him away for a long time.

As I've said before, I see him just about every day as he's picking his son up from kindergarten and can't help but feel so sorry for his children. A few weeks ago when he was being interviewed, he said that he tells his young children that mommy is on a vacation and that she's never coming home. How would he know that if she ran away with a boyfriend as he's claimed?

I agree -that ought to be our new form of criminal justice. Put a perp in a room with 12 random average American women and if he's icky he fries.

We could probably do just as good a job statistically as any other jury.

I just had to get this off my chest. As I was taking my neighbor to kindergarten this afternoon, we see a boy walking on the sidewalk at school. He says to me "that's my friend Anthony. His dad's not in jail but he's really teaching the cops how to get out of handcuffs". I was shocked! I have never talked to my neighbor about Anthony, his missing mom or his dad but of course he sees the memorial to her everyday to and from school. I asked my little neighbor who told him that. He said that Anthony did yesterday at school. He said that Anthony told him that people think that his dad is in jail but he's really not. He's not home because he's helping the cops!

How sad! I can only image what else his children have been told.

I came across this article today when I was looking for more information about the body that was found Wednesday.

The video to the left titled "Attorney Joel Brodsky talks about representing..." is interesting. Towards the end when he's talking about Stacy, he says "she off somewhere. Hopefully" and then back peddles on what he meant by "hopefully"

Drew will be in court today trying to get his bond reduced. I have a feeling that it will be and that he'll be out before the long weekend.
