I went to my local Disney Store last night to get Disney Dollars, and the CM revealed to me a new universal gift cad program that Disney premiered just yesterday.
These new gift cards are precisely what we have been asking for all these years! They are usable at WDW, Disneyland, Disney Stores, and even shopping online. They are reloadable, and have no loading or usage fees - just like a WalMart gift card.
She did say that the system is not yet operational in the WDW resorts, but it will be by this fall.
I got one with Mickey on it. I'll scan it and post when I get home tonight.
And don't worry, she also assured me that Disney Dollars will not be discontinued.
