Finally did it!

We finally made the plunge into DVC. Last night we put down our twenty percent and are just waiting for our "box" to arrive.

However, afterwards we started wondering if we bought enough points. Can we add more points onto our contract if we haven't signed the papers yet? We purchased 250, but are scared that perhaps we should have bought 300.

Either way, we are really excited.

Congrats...you can always add later on if the 250 doesn't work. Do you have just the 1 contract. If you do it may be better to do a 150 and 100 point contract.....just in case you have to sell, the smaller contracts are sold much quicker. We bought 310 pts and some one told me to break it up as well. Just in case I could unload one and keep the other...You never know..

You can always add more later. DW and I bought 300 (2-150 pt. contracts) the first time around and now we are thinking about adding another 300. We don't regret buying more earlier. You need to do what is best for you, but there is never going to be a time in the near future when either points will be unavailable OR when points will be significantly more $$. My $.02, but it might be worth less.....

I just bought my first 250 at SSR in Jan, then added on twice before my first deed was recorded. I added 125 at SSR and 125 at VWL before the F&F deal was gone. I am going to add on again next year - another 250 probably.
Should have done it years ago. You can always add on. The process is really quick and if you are financing through Disney, there is not approval for financing when you add on.
