Saturday was a special day as we surprised our DD with Princess Storybook Breakfast. The night before we just told her we had a surprise in the morning! I had asked a CM at Guest Services at POR about busing for character breakfasts and he told us a special breakfast bus runs from 7-8, and regular park buses begin at 8. We got up and left the room, arriving at the South bus depot at about 7:30. We had 8:40 PS ressies. We waited for about 15 minutes and the special bus never came. At about 7:40, park buses began, so when a MK bus came we took that one. We ran to the monorail and rode it to the TTC. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for the monorail, but it was a driver in training!! WE had asked to sit in the drivers car because DD had never done it. I think we made him nervous!! The trainer was with him coaching him, but he still accidently shut the train off!! It was a very long ride to Epcot!! Driving the monorail isn't as easy as it looks!! We ran to the gate, got through security and grabbed the stroller. While DH went to the bathroom, I checked with Guest Services about how to get back to Norway. She said just go to the rope and tell them. Well, we went to the left side of SE, and I had to excuse myself through a throng of people, even though it was only 8:30. She let me through and DH with stroller, but I had to run to the opposite side to get checked in with CM. She checked us in and yelled RUN, quick!! WE moved fast, but not running (too far for old lungs!!) We arrived at the podium about 8:50, but they took us right in. Other people told us the breakfast was booked full, but there were many empty tables the whole time we were there. There are many reviews on the dining boards already, plus, I'll add mine later, but suffice it to say I really enjoyed this. Not was the atmosphere lovely, but the food was plentiful, good and the service great. The princesses really made MY princess feel great!! After breakfast we went back to the resort to find the boys JUST getting out of bed!! The decided to go to MK, and we went back to Epcot. We went to The Land first, and got in line for the boat ride. The first day we were there, it had been broken down, FP were all done, and the wait was 70 minutes. This time the sign said 15 minutes, but it was a little longer. They would fill up a boat and let 4 or 5 go thru empty. CM said it was because there weren't enought CM working to handle all the boats. When we came off, we went into the Food Rocks show, for the first time. WE waited about 10 minutes, but the show was cute and it was comfortable and air conditioned!! There were only about 20 people for the show, though. After this it was time for WS. I really enjoy this part of Epcot and like to go slowly through each country looking at things I've seen before!! We alway go clockwise, and began by walking right on Rio del Tiempo! DD enjoyed this too. After looking around at the market, and viewing the art display (carved wooden animals, painted, really neat) we went on to Norway. Since we had explored after breakfast, and the Maelstrom is closed we bypassed this this time. At the Outpost we watched an older African man carving animals from soapstone. What a neat thing!! The knife was so long, I would have no fingers left, but he just whittled quickly and made a monkey!! DD enjoyed that, and playing the drums. We wandered into China (which also has alot of boarding up, due to improvements, although the stores are still open) In the back, we picked up the mask for DD to complete around the world. This is really a neat thing. They write the word "dream" in the native language and during the TOD parade, the kids are supposed to throw the pop out section into the dream weaver's net. this time, we were getting hungry, and rather than eat in one place (it's SOOO hard to decide!!) we decided to snack our way around the world.! We had chocolate covered pretzels in Germany!! Shaved ice (kaka gori) in Japan. Pastry in France!! Soo good! In each country we found the Kidcot station for DD to add to her mask. In Morrocco, while looking for the station, we stumbled across Aladdin and Jasmine, with NO line!! After autographs and pictures we went on. It seemed like we just missed everything I usually like to see! At the opposite end of the American adventure, the Hoh Daiko drummers began their show. I love this!! Walking to Morrocco I could hear the Fife and Drum corps in America!! We still enjoyed everything because the weather was beautiful and the crowds were really light. We made our way around to UK just in time to see the first show of the British Invasion. We all love this group and try to see as many of their shows as possible. I got autographs and a picture this time!! After we finished Canada, we went back to the resort for a rest and pool time. We went back to Epcot for dinner, and Illuminations. We got into the Garden Grill with no PS, but DD got herself so worked up about the characters (she is afraid of them!!) she made herself sick!! She was really tired, so we skipped Illuminations and headed back to put her in bed!! A long, busy day, but a good one! See ya later.!!:Pinkbounc
