Finally Closed

Well,
We just recieved the letter in the mail from the Timeshare Closing Services that everything is finally closed on our purchase of our BCV property. They had mentioned that we should give disney 5 business days until we are in the system. How long does it take for you to get your welcome packet? I have 24 points left that I'll need to bank. I'm not too familiar with banking. Is it easy to do? Do you call or are you able to do it online?

Now all I have to do is pay off my loan so I can buy my next one. I'm thinking OKW since I have one already at the boardwalk area. Maybe SSR? Anyone have any good things to say about SSR? I've really only seen a few pictures.

I would call MS to bank these first points. Just call, give them your member number and they will help you take it from there.

I can answer the banking part of your question. It is very easy to do. I like to do it over the phone. It takes all of 30 seconds. The CM's are very friendly and will give you a confirmation number. Keep track of it in case there is ever any questions. Call them on Monday. I'll bet you you will be in the system.

Most of us have only seen pictures of the inside of SSR since it hasn't opened yet. I have seen the outside from the area of the Golf Course and DTD and it looks great. The nice thing IMHO is the 50 year contract and being able to finance through Disney.

We closed on 4/14 (Wednesday), I called on 4/19 (Monday) and was already in the DVC system and able to make our first reservation. We received a welcome packet via Priority Mail on 4/21 (Wednesday). All in all, a very quick turnaround compared to the time between having your offer accepted and waiting for ROFR.

We closed on BWV just this Monday afternoon. They had our paperwork by Wednesday but were unable to do anything with us in the system since DVC was doing month-end processing on Thursday. We WERE in the system Friday morning and made our first reservation starting October 16 at OKW but are wait-listed at BWV (our home resort) and BCV.
