I have been playing the airfare watch game for 6 months. My wife and kids will only fly JetBlue and get nervous on any other airline so I was pretty restricted in my flights, though I prefer JetBlue as well.

My original dates were 8/26-9/1. The airfare for those dates was up to $1,600+ RT for the 4 of us, waaaaay to expensive. I called WDW Reservations to see if I could change my dates from midweek to midweek (Wed-Tue) and was surpised they could do it as I was booked on a Bounceback offer from last August. So today I changed the dates with no extra cost and immediately booked my JetBlue flights.

I am happy to say that I got a fare of $1,150 RT for the 4 of us to fly direct from Boston. 6:30 am flight down (my wife and daughter will not be pleased at this!) and 8:55 pm flight back. So 2 full days at both ends of the trip.

I thought I would spread the knowledge that a simple date change with your resort/package can make all the difference in the world with the fares.

It's always a relief once you have your air fare booked and are happy with the price. We always play around with dates - both resort and airline - to get the best deal. So true that just one day can make a big difference. As far as the early morning flight out of Boston - that is more time spent at Disney! I took my daughter and her college roommate to Disney in March for their Spring Break and in order to save money on the flight, we took a 6:30 am flight out of Orlando back home to Detroit. Our Magical Express bus to the airport was for 3:30 am. I was dreading it - especially being at the end of the trip - but it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I would rather have an early flight at the start of the vacation.

I agree. I always try to book the first flight out and the latest flight back. It's always a full year before we return so I want to squeeze as much out of it as I can!!

I am playing the Jetblue price game now!!! I booked our departure for our June 23 cruise two weeks ago (very low price popped up on a Weds afternoon)!!!! Problem is -- I have not booked the return-- I am waiting until this Tuesday to see if they do any one day sales, if not I will bite the bullet.

I was VERY relieved when we had a way down to FL, now getting a little nervous for the return flight home. I have some flexibility on the return, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I am the type who is never relaxed until I am checked into my hotel with passes in hand so the airfare game for me is more agonizing than most. I relax a 'bit" when everything is paid for, flights and package but then get myself stressed up about getting everyone to the airport, getting off and getting on the Magical Express bus and then my room assignement at the Beach Club.

My poor wife! That woman is a saint!!!
