I've been avoiding the boards for a while up until a few weeks ago. I find it hard to visit without a trip planned. But I'm happy now. We've just booked out next trip. Its still 16 1/2 months away but I'm ok with that. At least I have something to look forward to.
We have planned 2weeks at WDW, a 7 night Fantasy Cruise and then another 6nights at WDW. The cruise is booked and paid for in full as I didn't want to take the risk of the dollar dropping anymore. In two nights in between paying the deposit and paying in full it cost me an extra $180.00 so I thought I would just bite the bullet and do it. I've also ordered USD to cover us for the whole trip. It feels real now.
It will be a while before we book flights. We have enough QF points to cover us which is good. Not sure about accommodation yet. We have time share that we could use depending on what they offer us in the exchange. I have also received a few pin codes this year and last year so hopefully something might come through for next year.
I'm so excited and happy to be joining in on the boards again.:dance3::yay::cheer2::cool1:

I have to say it feels great. I'm sure the whole family will be sick of me though by the time comes. Its back into full planning mode.

Congrats on the planned trip. I know what you mean about visiting when you haven't anything planned in the future. I'm a bit like that now. This is the first time since joining the boards that I haven't had something in the works.

Count me in as one who has no future plans on the horizon. Very exciting for you though. That time will fly by, enjoy the planning. Your trip sounds great.

I miss you too PIO. I think that's why I've been popping back in. I miss you guys, you understand my Disney obsession and the people on here are so generous with their time and support and love, esp you lovely lady.

We did DL last September for 7 nights and had a fantastic time. I have been thinking of WDW but it is very much in the "pre-concept" stage at this point!! You said you have 2 weeks and then another 6 nights at WDW. wow, I know it's alot bigger than DL, but didn't realise that weeks rather than nights was the norm for WDW. Like I said I haven't really done much research on WDW yet so this is my first foray into that.

yeah we spent 9 nights at WDW last sept and could have easily spent another 4 or so nights. The 8 clear days was enough to see most things but you need a few days to just relax around the pool etc to recharge. WDW is quite cheap if you can get the free dining package and stay at a value resort like POPS. The food is very average but its free. Stay off season for best value (although there is no off season really...its owded all the time just less so in the " Off season"

We have been twice before. The first time was for 4 weeks and the second was the similar as the next trip we have planned - 1 week, cruise, two more weeks. The first time was in December and we felt that we just didn't get a chance to do 'everything' so went back to try again. The second time was September/October and it was sooooooooooo hot. It was hard to put a full day in at the parks with two young kids in the heat. By the time we spent a day at Seaworld, a day at Universal, a few days at the waterparks or relaxing by the poosl and of course some shopping, the three weeks had just flown. We could have done with an extra week. Of course we are big Disney fans, but there is just so much to see and do.
Next time will be in August so again we will have the heat. We plan on mornings in the park and going back to relax in the afternoon. At this rate it will take us a few days to do each park.

I'm loving the planning so far. I've been watching World of Color on youtube and am starting to wonder if I can be dragged from WDW a day early to stop at DL to see this. It looks awesome. I'm thinking it could be a surprise for the kids. Tell them that we are leaving to go home and they stop in California.
