FINALLY! AKV Tapestry News from DVC!

The good news: I received my review letter from DVC y-day!

The bad news: It contained no more guidance than the original letter as far as what will be included on the tapestry, so I am still confused. It also did not contain any contact info for questions or clarifications

Anyone have the contact info handy from the first mailing?

I got ours. I forget does any know if "Family" is already included in the 16 letters available.

Can anyone remember if they said that your Town would also be included next to the family name?

The name is right on the confirmation but they mis-spelled our town on the address on the letter... hmm...

Received my confirmation letter last night. Basically, it's a verification of the name as it appears on the letter. You have to send it back to DVC with a confirmation check mark.

There was no contact or follow-up information at all except to send the information back in the envelope provided.

It does say we will be receiving a Tapestry gift in Spring 2008.

I found on the terms and conditions of the previous letter that they intend (or intended) to include 'name, city and state/country'...

They misspelled our city on our address. It's no good getting the family name right but not the place, if the place also goes on the tapestry!

I got the letter and tossed the envelope so now I don't know if they got our location name spelled correctly or not. They were only checking the names on the letter. With first initials and full last names, both my huband and I fit in the 16 letters. It will be something like "A Smith and B Long" That would look silly with "Family" put behind it but I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world if they do.

I was just thinking about this letter and i want to send it back before we leave for wdw, but has anyone else have more info to add to this post ?
will there be "Family" behind our last name, will they put the city, state?
anyone talk to a live person rotfl: ) from DVC to get any info?

And how do I sign up Being animal kingdom owners I would love to have my family name included.

I am also curious about the tapestry. I haven't heard anything about it. We bought in at AKV in October.

The tapestry was an incentive offered for those members that joined AKV during the opening sales. The cutoff was Feb 2007 and I believe it was the
1st.
You also had to purchase 160 points or more.

I still have not sent mine back because I am still confused. I havent had time to look into it further but I will while on vacation.

I guess I just missed it since we purchased in March 2007 and did purchase more than 160 pts.

It was originally only suppose to be for the first 150 members who purchased 150 or more points. Because of a marketing error, all who purchased 150+ points in February are on it.

It would have been very nice to have just 150 names, but the ball was dropped.
I was within the first 10 members to purchase the required points at AKV.
