I have been bidding the WDW zone at resort level for months and finally got an accepted bid today for $95/night at the Gaylord Palms Resort! I am very excited to stay at this resort--although the extra $10 daily parking fee and $10 daily resort fee are a bit high. At least with the resort fee we get internet access, 2 bottles of Dasani water, daily newspaper, access to gym, and shuttles to the parks. So I don't mind paying that so much. But come on--$10 a day to park at the hotel--is parking really at a premium at this location?

I did have a Comfort Suites Main Gate East as a back-up reservation at $89/night with free breakfast and no parking or resort fees--so hopefully Gaylord Palms lives up to my expectations and I don't regret my decision to keep bidding PL. I would love to hear from anyone that has stayed at this resort.

I did get a great deal as hotel website indicates $229/night for my dates of 4/6/07-4/10/07.

Wow you sure did! Actually, I think you're lucky you found ANYthing open in the area on Easter week, let alone at a great price like that, congrats! The entire area is the busiest it's been in years, all of WDW is booked solid, and most everything we know of offsite is booked solid as well.

Wow! Great rate for a great hotel at a next to impossible time to find top end Orlando lodging.

I'm curious as to how many nights you got from Priceline at this great rate.

Thanks for the encouraging words about the resort. I have read a lot of reviews and most seem extremely positive--so I guess I won't mind paying the parking & resort fees afterall.

To answer your question Figment22--I originally bid 3 nights and added a fourth after my bid had been accepted at $95.

1 week from tomorrow-We'll be there!!:yay:

We'll be arriving at WDW at the same time. I bid Priceline a few months back and got Omni Championsgate for $120 a night. I thought I got a pretty good deal when comparing what other bids have been, but you got a great deal. Last summer we stayed at Gaylord Palms and got the same $95 rate. We enjoyed the hotel, but could not use the family/kids pool due to and "accident".:scared1: We really enjoyed the atrium and the restaurant that is on a boat (I can't remember the name). The only down side is that their shuttle bus to the parks is a very slow way to travel and not very convenient, so having a car will be a plus even with the parking fee!

We really enjoyed our Priceline stay at Gaylord Palms. It is such a beautiful place! Congrats for getting it! :)

Thanks to all of you for your reviews or info about Gaylord Palms. The more I look at the hotel website--the more I wish I was there right now! Oh well-1 week from today I'll be there!:cool1:
