Finally, a new game, generic

:teeth: Yes, it snows here in N. Nevada, we live in Reno, we are about 45 minutes down the mountain from Lake Tahoe and sit at 4500-5000 ft. Although, this is late in the year. I just went outside and I have at least 4-5 inches on the cars and in the front yard and the drive/walk ways resemble an ice rink.

We have lived here 13 years and have seen more snow in the past 2 winters than all of the first 11 combined.

Jan 05 we were in Calif and came home to 3' then got another 3' within the week, we had 6' in 5 days and it was the craziest thing this native California girl had ever seen. The snow was higher than the sliding glass door in our kitchen and made us feel like we were living in an igloo.

Tomorrows drive to work will be a nightmare, the kids are all out of school on spring break and the plows/sand/salt trucks won't be out early clearing the bus routes which covers most of the main roads and highway in the area.

Yes, It is okay to eat a still warm from the oven apple pie

Is, ate too much chocolate a good excuse to call in sick............

I've never been any farther west than Illinois & Wisconsin. Guess I learned something today. :thumbsup2

Something else I'm not understanding - Started watching what I eat last Monday, won't call it a "diet" per se, just trying very hard to make better food choices and eating smaller portions. I also walked 4 days last week with 3 of the days being 3 miles and 1 day being being 5 miles. Why then have I gained 1.2 pounds?! :furious:

Congratulations on making better choices and exercising! You could be replacing fat cells with muscle tissue. Check your measurements once a month and you may find you're losing inches when you don't seem to be losing pounds. Try not to be a slave to the scale; my weight fluctuates within a 3 pound range within a month's time. And some salty foods make you retain fluids, which can make your weight go up a little. Hang in there! :thumbsup2

Not trying to break the rules of the game,.........
There are no rules, LOL, trying to keep this as inane as the others, just hopefully not another clique thread. :cool1:

One week from tomorrow I go to the world with 68 of my favorite teenagers. (Well most of them are favorites) My mom is going along as a chaperone on this insane trip too. It will be great!!

68 teenagers? :faint: You're very brave, much braver than I'd be! Have a great time!! :cool1:

It was 99 at my sisters house yesterday, it will be in the mid to high 90's this week. Someone stole my spring.

So, what you're telling me, Percy, is that something you've never seen is slightly less blue than something else you've never seen?

Okay so I had to look in Roget's to make sure I fully understand the rules - er, non-rules - to keeping this thread inane .... the pressure!!

Inane - stupid, absurd, asinine, daft, empty, fatuous, flat, foolish, frivolous, futile, harebrained, idiotic, illiogical, imbecile, innocuous, insipid, jejune, laughable, meaningless, mindless, pointless, puerile, ridiculous, sappy, senseless, silly, trifling, unintelligent, vacant, vacuous, vain, vapid, weak, wishy-washy, worthless

There you have it folks! Bring on the fatuous posts! :lmao: Just had to use that word in a sentence.

BTW - thanks for the congrats. Once I get to where I want to be it'll have been worth it, it's the getting there in the first place. :yay:

And, I'll trade 90 degree weather for our 50 degree weather anyday! :sunny:

What's the difference between an orange? :rolleyes1

The pizza will be here in 15 minutes - who wants a slice?

I'd love pizza, but I'm in the mood for a steak and some shrimp. Think I'm headed to Applebees tonight!

Would someone let the dog out, please?

Who wants to go out for dinner?

Jean
