Finally a Disney Visa Double Rewards Offer!

Day 1 cardholder who has spent over $1500 on this card since March and no word on double rewards. I called the other day when i saw this thread, and they told me that any offers made to me I would receive notification of (I have not). I do not pay or use my account over the 'net - maybe that makes a difference??

I use the internet to check my account, but I don't pay into my account on the internet,........ maybe that's it.................. OR MAYBE..........

the are saving an extra SPECIAL AWARD for those of us that have bneen left out in the cold on this one! MAybe when we get ours it'll be for TRIPLE points!!!!:p

Just checked the web site for our offer.

Ours was the $50 limit.

We are Day 1, DVC and LOTS of use!!

I'm definitely going to check out buying our hopper passes at DS. Is it the same price to buy them in the store as it is to buy them in advance online? We bought them in advance online last trip and just picked them up at will call. Anybody know?

I'm finding no rhyme or reason.....perhaps I'm just not seeing the connection....

We are "Day 1".....not DVC.....and charge absolutely EVERYTHING (rarely pay any other way).....and pay off our balance every month.....never a day late.....and ours is a $75 offer.

I got the $100 offer... but it could be because i have also racked up 187 points so far:eek: ... you do the math;)

OK. I have been a member since "Day 1" and have about $75 Dream Dollars. Not much, but also not a small amount either, and my offer is for $100 or more. I just called and was told that this is an offer from the Marketing Department. She couldn't tell me how they pick who gets what offer and wouldn't give me a phone number or email address for the Marketing Department so I could contact them and ask them what the criteria is for deciding this. She also said that these offers cannot be changed so you're stuck with whatever you are offered or not offered. I just don't understand this at all. It just doesn't seem fair to me, especially to the people who haven't been offered anything.

I am a "Charter Cardmember" it says that on my card not "Day 1." I also did not get the pin or 6 months no interest since I had a BankOne card already and switched it to the Disney Visa. I got the $75 offer and I am in MA. I only have $21 Dream Rewards so far.

This is interesting. I'm a member since "Day 1", have about $165 in reward dollars built up and got the $100 offer. I'm guessing the more reward dollars you have already built up, the more you need to spend to get the double rewards.

I just looked online too and I don't see this offer. :(

There were 3 offers under "Disney Merchandise":
Disney Movie Club, Disney Magazine Subscription, Disney Princess CD-ROm Games

Maybe the offer depends on where you live ... or how you use your card ... or if you maintain a balance ... or if your name ends in a Y. ;)

Same here and I need to purchase passes. :(

In case somebody's keeping track put me in the exact same bracket as snowwhite including the $75 offer.

By the way we are only talking about 75 cents here, don't go nuts and shop away. If you are buying something already that's one thing, but don't go buying stuff you don't need because of a "1% off sale"

We had a purchase of 73.50 or so on Disneystore.com and my wife wanted to add something to get the double points. So lets say I add some PJ's 4.99-10%=about 4.50. Puts me over the "double points offer so I earn an extra .78 cents..And Pay an extra 2 dollars in shipping charges(added on at the $75 purchase level) So I took my 73 cents and ran. WooHoo! I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!... Hey wait i AM going to DISNEYWORLD!!!

Hi,
For what it is worth, I was on the phone today at length with a Disney Visa Customer Service person. I needed to do something and she told me that there would be a "minimum" charge and then after looking at my account, she said "no wait, the charge is waived on your account." She said something about Marketing setting the different requirements. I think that is what we are seeing here.... Marketing tweeking and playing around with demographics. Too bad they haven't realized that we all talk to each other! Do you hear that Disney Visa? We all know each other!!!!

I agree completely! However, DH and I are planning to purchase PAP's for our upcoming trips, so in this case I think it's worth it to buy them a bit earlier than planned so that I can take advantage of the double points.....assuming of course we pay them off when the bill comes so that our *bonus points* aren't negated by finance charges! :p

Me too. I had been planning to buy some park hoppers for next year's visit before my DC card expires in August, and picked up $500 worth of Disney Dollars for next week's trip while I was there. Hopefully I'll get double points on the total.
