Finally a Disney Visa Double Rewards Offer!

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere yet but the Disney Visa web site finally has a double rewards offer. For purchases of $50 or more (pre tax) made at the Disney Store you will earn double rewards dollars. I think this would be great if you plan on purchasing your park hoppers there or even Disney dollars to spend at the parks. Offer applies to purchases made in-store, online or from the catalogue. Offer is good through 8/9/03.

I haven't seen the details, but typically, it would be highly unusual if the purchase of PHs or Disney Dollars "counted" in the promotion. At least, that's the way it's been with all the other DS promotionals, nothing but merchandise is included. Just a heads up!

I called Visa to double check and it applies to all purchases. I specifically asked about park tickets and Disney dollars and was told they were a Disney store purchase so they qualify for the double dollars.

I posted this on the Theme Parks board so people who are thinking of buying their passes at the Disney Store could take advantage of this offer.

According to the bankone.com/disney site, you need to spend $100 to earn double rewards. Did you see the $50 limit in your monthly bill?

I saw this offer on their site when I pulled up my account. It was under Disney merchandise offers.

It states:

Haha- mine says spend $75 or more. Wondering if I should get some Disney Dollars for the trip. Our local Disney Store in Salem, NH closed until Labor Day. Where else are there DS's around MA/NH?

My offer was on an insernt with my bill. It is also in my account information under "offers."

It may be that they offer different rewards to different people.

I found mine by clicking on offers, then disney merchandise offers, then double dream reward dollars. Mine is for $75 or more too.

Mine is for $100 or more purchases. Must be different for each individual person.

Am I to understand that one is able to "purchase" Disney dollars on a Disney Visa card, and receive reward points for said purchase?

Correct me if I am wrong, but that sounds like a license to print money. The Disney Dollars can be exchanged for US dollars at the parks or the stores. I'll go around to all the stores and purchase the limit on Dollars, earn 2% on the transaction in Disney Reward Points, and then exchange the Dollars for US Greenbacks and have 0% interest on a "cash advance."

According to some of the posts this can be done. Anyone have a thought?
