Just saved $138.00 using the new fall Costco code and the additional driver is always a bonus. Was $685.00 now $548.00 for full size. I wasn't finding anything cheaper on MCO property.

Is that for a full size car? What days are you renting for? The 2010 entertainment book has the best deal.

Cool. What Costco discount did you use? There are multiple ones.

I'm having such a fit with how high the rental rates are for November. We went two years ago, and I paid less than 150 for the full week on a convertible. Now I can't find anything less than 250 for a compact!

I used ID 7015415 and coupon AF5277AAJ for 25% off and a free day on a five day rental. I also could have used same ID and coupon AU2927SDK for 25% and a free upgrade. Both had free additional driver.

That seemed really high until I realized you're going for 2 weeks. I usually find the best deals on car rentals pop up around 30 days out. You just need to be vigilant and check those rates every day.

I booked 9 days full size for dec for 159$ on hotwire earlier this weak I'd keep looking around.

That's awesome, I'm leaning towards priceline as well, standard booking is depressing me. One question, is $159 total, with taxes and fees?

Booked costco code last week as well for a good december rate...10 nights for midsize $218 with taxes included. Used coupon ad8221sdf for $30 off found on carrentalsavers

I've been monitoring Hotwire for a December rental and I agree their rates are excellent. I have been trying to replicate that rate with one of the majors and I just can't seem to find it. It's just you have to pay upfront and no modifications can be made. So much can happen between now and then, but I am very tempted. :) Once I get my airfare booked, I may do it.

We just booked a car over the weekend for our 13 day trip in Dec!!! (Nov30 1pm Pickup to Dec12th 10:30am drop off) 1st time using Priceline name your price and got a Mid size car for 13 days for $231 with Taxes ($11 per day was our winning bid on this size car) We are really happy with the price for the 2 week long (almost) rental! Also Hertz was the company we have never used them before but have heard good things.

Anyone else try this name your own price for Dec?

I also used priceline and got a midsize for $11 a day December 9 - December 18th. The hardest part for me is that now I have to stop looking and searching for a better price.

I'm with you on that. Hard to NOT keep looking.

Yup it was an email offer I received. Glad its all done with because I see the rates have already gone up. Though to be honest I usually wait to book last minute and get the last minute deals.

You can't really compare current rental rates with those of two years ago. It is a whole new world now in the car rental business.
